FINAL MINUTES NOW

Neither side have come close to earning a winner here but it's a tense and nervy affair. You get the feeling that both sides are more concerned about not making a mistake than going onto to earn the win.

KOSTIC CARDED

A fifth yellow card of the day for Frankfurt with Kostic now booked for a foul on Sancho.
80'

INTO THE FINAL 10...

Frankfurt are pressing to make the Dortmund possession-game work hard, while Dortmund are continuing to push on for a potential winner. This game could go either way.

CHANGES ALL-ROUND

Bellingham is on for BVB while Dost and Kohr come in for Frankfurt for the final 15 minutes or so.

A TALE OF TWO HALVES

Frankfurt on top in the first but BVB very much on top in the second half. Just under 20 minutes to play here to decide this game either way.

THAT HIT FROM REYNA

68'

SHOT ON GOAL FOR MOUKOKO

He connects well with a volley from the edge of the Frankfurt box ahead of defenders around him. This one bounces straight down the throat of Trapp, though.
68'

WE WARNED YOU

BVB have now scored 19 of their 22 league goals this season in the second half of games. A changed side after the break so far in 2020/21.
66'

BVB WELL ON TOP

Dortmund are showing control at the back and purpose in attack so far in this second half. Sancho has been heavily involved.
64'

SO CLOSE FOR BRANDT

Sancho times his pass from the right in behind the Frankfurt defence towards Brandt perfectly. His first touch takes him past Trapp, but the angle is too tight for a shot on target and his effort hits the side-netting.

WHAT A GOAL FROM REYNA!

A moment of individual brilliance from Gio Reyna. He's found by Sancho inside from the left and turns quickly. He skips inside past Hinteregger to the edge of the Frankfurt box before absolutely smashing a shot beyond Trapp at the near post. An outstanding strike to level the scores and Dortmund are well up for this now!

SHOT BLOCKED

Morey finds Brandt just inside him from the right flank and the midfield fires a shot goalward. It's well-blocked by Hinteregger, but the pressure is building from Dortmund.
52'

MORE PURPOSE ALREADY

Dortmund providing more intensity and tempo early on in this second half. Moukoko is sitting on the last man in Frankfurt's defence and always looking to be played in on goal. Reyna, Sancho and Brandt will be the men looking to make that happen.

MOUKOKO THROUGH THE MIDDLE

The 16-year-old is leading the Dortmund attack through the middle, with Brandt dropping into midfield alongside Witsel.

N'DICKA BOOKED

The Frenchman sweeps the legs of Sancho and earns the first yellow card of the game.

REYNA IN THE BATTLE

The USMNT forward has made a bright start in this first half. He's both contested and won the most challenges of any Dortmund player. He may be smaller and skinnier than others, but he's just as up for the fight.
38'

ALMOST FOR MOREY

Reyna sends Sancho in behind the Frankfurt defence down the left and he plays the ball across goal with Morey charging towards the back post. N'Dicka and Kostic are there, and the Serbian winger clears the ball just ahead of Dortmund's wing-back.

BOTH SIDES NOT FIRING FULLY

BARKOK IN FRONT OF GOAL!

Lovely interplay from Frankfurt sends the ball left, with Kostic curling a cross into the box. Silva controls to lay off the ball for Barkok and he hits it on the half-volley from around the penalty spot but blazes his strike high over the crossbar.

BVB FINDING SPACE

The midfield is opening up for Dortmund here, with Sancho and Reyna dropping deeper to get on the ball. But with no Haaland to play in on goal, they're struggling to cut open the Frankfurt defence ahead of them.

HUGE CHANCE FOR SANCHO!

Another opportunity goes begging for BVB. Reyna skips past Durm on the left side and fires the ball into the box for Sancho, who gets a stroke of luck with his first touch putting him in front of goal. He shoots low across Trapp, but his shot trickles just wide beyond the post.

SANCHO SO CLOSE!

Dortmund break with Brandt through the middle, who plays Sancho the ball to the right. He skips inside past N'Dicka before curling a shot towards the far top corner with his left foot. This one is just inches over the crossbar, clipping the roof of the net.
17'

PRESS, PRESS, PRESS!

Frankfurt hardly giving BVB any room to work with in attack so far. Reyna has a shot from the edge of the box but can't really connect with it. So far so good for the Eagles.

A late challenge on Reyna earns the Frankfurt defender a warning from Guido Winkmann.

THE PERFECT START

KAMADA OPENS THE SCORING!

Sometimes in football, it is as simple as that. A fantastic ball forward from the back from Hinteregger meets the run of Kamada perfectly, with Can playing him on onside. One touch to control and then a lovely finish under Bürki as he came out of goal.

DURM IN ONE-ON-ONE!

An outstanding through ball with the outside of his foot from Rode sends Durm in on goal. His first touch lets him down as he looks to get a shot away and Hummels recovers to make a crucial block. Three great chances for us to have an opening goal in the first 10 minutes.
5'

BRANDT IN THE MIDDLE

As predicted it is indeed Brandt playing as the false nine in attack for BVB. Sancho is starting out on the right with Reyna on the left. We'll surely see that trio swapping places throughout this game.
4'

AT THE OTHER END!

Frankfurt go forward well with Durm crossing to the back post where Kostic is waiting. He goes for the first-time volley but drags his effort wide back across the face of Bürki and the Dortmund goal.
3'

BIG CHANCE!

Almost the opener from Dortmund. Sancho curls in a free-kick from the left flank and Hummels is alone to meet it around the six-yard box, but he just misses the ball with his attempt.

Kick-off!

KICK-OFF COMING UP

We're just five minutes from getting things underway here in Frankfurt. The away side welcoming back Dan-Axel Zagadou to the starting line-up for the first time this season after a lengthy injury.

TALE OF THE TAPE

Three points for BVB will take them between Leipzig and Bayern and into second before the top-two face each other in Munich this evening. For Frankfurt - who sit in 9th - they can close the gap on the European places with a win today. The Eagles are unbeaten in their last four, but drew all four of those while BVB have yet to draw this season or in their last 27 Bundesliga games. Something has to give.

FRANKFURT FIGHTERS TILL THE END

Frankfurt’s 3-3 draw with Union was the league-high fifth time this season they have picked up at least a point after going behind (one win, four draws).

WATCH: LAST SEASON'S CLASH

It was a four-goal thriller between Frankfurt and Dortmund the last time these two sides met at the home of the Eagles, with Silva scoring his first Frankfurt goal.

MOUKOKO WAITING IN THE WINGS

Youssoufa Moukoko made his second Bundesliga appearance last weekend. He will become the league’s youngest ever scorer if gets on the scoresheet here. He is alongside Reus and Hazard on the bench this afternoon, with Favre opting for a three-man attack.

LATE-STARTING BVB?

Dortmund have only scored three times in the first half in the Bundesliga this season, but have hit 18 of their 21 goals after the break.

WATCH OUR FOR FRANKFURT'S SILVA LINING

Portugal international Silva has scored more goals (15) than Haaland (14) since the Bundesliga resumed after the coronavirus-enforced hiatus. Only Robert Lewandowski (21) has more.

BVB TEAM NEWS

Reus was the most likely replacement for Haaland had Favre retained a 4-2-3-1, though the coach has opted for a 'false nine' approach in an attempt to spread the goalscoring burden between Brandt, Sancho and Reyna. While full-back Meunier is definitely sidelined by the muscle injury that led to him limping out of the shock defeat to Cologne last weekend, Hummels said his foot injury sustained in the midweek UEFA Champions League draw with Lazio "didn't look too bad" after a hospital examination. The veteran centre-back starts as captain at the Deutsche Bank Park where Dortmund will hope to bounce back from their shock Matchday 9 loss to Cologne, their third reverse of the campaign.

FRANKFURT TEAM NEWS

Silva scored twice as Frankfurt came back from 2-0 down to draw 3-3 with Union Berlin last time out, taking his tally to 15 since the coronavirus-enforced break in the process - one more than Haaland has scored in that time. Silva is alone in attack, while Hütter's main dilemma comes in midfield where the fit-again ex-BVB man Sebastian Rode joins Djibril Sow in the starting XI after coming off the bench for his Swiss teammate late on last weekend.
