AND AGAIN!

The scorer of Bayern's first is found in the box with a ball over the Leipzig defence and can't decide whether to cross or shoot with his first touch on the bounce. In the end, the ball goes through to Gulacsi.

MUSIALA MISCUES

Costa cross to the back post is a good one from 25 yards out and Musiala is well-placed to meet it, but he miscues his header and sends it wide.

DOUBLE CHANGE

Richards and Costa come on for the final five minutes here with Coman coming off, and Boateng limping slightly as he makes way.

BACKS AGAINST THE WALL

The away side have switched to more of a five-man defence here for the final 10 minutes. Bayern are piling on the pressure, but that counter-attack is still a possibility for Leipzig.
78'

BAYERN REWARDED

The home side have been patient in possession all of this second half since going behind and Müller's goal is their reward. Can either side go and get a winner now?

TWO MORE CHANGES

Sorloth and Orban come on for Haidara and Kluivert here for the final 10 minutes or so.

MÜLLER MAKES IT TWO!

Bayern respond yet again and bring themselves level. The ball is played out to the right from Musiala to Coman and he crosses to find Müller in front of goal who rises highest to head home. A third assist of the night for Coman, and second goal for Müller!

Bayern controlling the ball here since going behind but their final ball is lacking so far. Usually, it's a long one looking for Sane and Coman wide, or Lewandowski over the top, but nothing has come off so far.

BAYERN'S HIGH LINE

The hosts are defending with an incredibly high line here in the second half in an attempt to push more pressure forward. Leipzig will be desperate to make the most of the chances they can get from it.

HARD BATTLE

Bayern are responding well having gone behind. Most of their play is worked down the wings, but Leipzig's defence is handling the barrage of crosses and attempted passes into Lewandowski well. While the Leipzig counter-attack continues to look dangerous.

LEIPZIG'S TASK

In their four visits to the Allianz Arena, Leipzig have failed to score. 3-0, 2-0, 1-0, 0-0 so far. It's the 5th time in their nine meetings that these two face each other in the Bundesliga as the top two in the table.

WARM-UPS DONE

One a cold December night in Munich, the heat is on at the Allianz Arena for this mouth-watering Saturday night meeting between Bayern and Leipzig. Both sets of players are getting their final instructions before we get things underway.

WATCH: ANALYSIS OF LEWANDOWSKI VS. UPAMECANO

LEWY VS. UPAMECANO

One of the key battles today will see Leipzig's French defender come up against Lewandowski. Upamecano has clocked the second-fastest sprint of any player in 2020/21 at 21.96 mph (35.34 km/h), second only to VfB Stuttgart’s Silas Wamangituka 22.00 mph (35.42 km/h). His ability to keep pace with Lewandowski will be crucial to Leipzig keeping Europe's Player of the Year quiet.

WATCH: THE VIEW IN A CHILLY MUNICH

THE RB MACHINE

Leipzig have had more shots (150), won more penalties (five) and won more challenges (1051) than any other Bundesliga team this term. Sitting second in the table behind Bayern, Leipzig will want to show tonight that they can compete with the very best at the top of the German table.

THE NAGELSMANN INFLUENCE

Nagelsmann has picked up at least a point in five of his eight Bundesliga matches against Bayern (two wins, three draws). He has not lost against the Reds while in charge of Leipzig (two draws), while Leipzig have yet to score a goal at the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga.

LEWY RESTED UP

The only thing scarier than Lewandowski might just be a rested Lewandowski. Bayern's No.9 put his feet up during the week as the treble-winners earned a draw at Atletico, but now he's back. The Pole has five goals in eight Bundesliga matches against Leipzig, but has failed to score in four of those. Will he had to his season total of 12 so far in 2020/21?

WAIT TO SEE WITH RB

It's never a good idea to try and guess a Leipzig line-up under Julian Nagelsmann. It could be a 4-3-3 today with no set striker on the pitch, or a 3-4-3 depending on how attacking Nagelsmann wants to set out his side.

BAYERN TEAM NEWS

Bayern come into the game two points clear of Leipzig, and - with their Champions League progress already assured - having had the luxury of resting not only Lewandowski but also Neuer for their midweek trip to Atletico Madrid. The heavyweight duo will return to Flick's starting XI, who'll be seeking to pick up a seventh win in an eight-game unbeaten Bundesliga run that has them in first place coming into the weekend's action. Joshua Kimmich returned to light training this week following his knee injury, but the Germany international remains on the sidelines. Alphonso Davies (ankle) joins him in the stands. Tolisso makes way for Martinez in central midfield with the Frenchman not fully recovered from a muscle strain, while Sane gets the nod over Gnabry out wide.

LEIPZIG TEAM NEWS

Leipzig's kept their European destiny in their own hands following a spectacular 4-3 win at Basaksehir on Wednesday, a match in which Upamecano played the full 90 minutes. The new France international will be in the visitors' backline again as Nagelsmann tries to replicate the tactical masterclass that earned his team a point and a clean sheet on their last visit to Munich, the only game Bayern failed to win in their imperious march through the second half of the 2019/20 treble-winning season. After missing the trip to Turkey for personal reasons, Nkunku is available again, though Sörloth is among those rested after the gruelling win in Turkey.

LEIPZIG FIRING BLANKS IN MUNICH

Julian Nagelsmann's side face an uphill battle today: Leipzig haven't scored against Bayern in Munich in any of their four previous visits. Overall, Die Roten Bullen have only won one of their eight Bundesliga encounters with Bayern, a 2-1 triumph in March 2018. The Reds have taken maximum points four times, while the three most recent games have all ended in draws.
3:47

KEY CONTESTS: WHERE WILL THIS GAME BE WON AND LOST?

BAYERN WELL RESTED

Bayern coach Hansi Flick was able to leave Robert Lewandowski, Manuel Neuer and Leon Goretzka in Munich during the week, giving them a breather while the rest of the team travelled to Madrid for their UEFA Champions League match away to Atletico. That trio all look set to start today - could their freshness prove the difference in the closing stages against a Leipzig side that travelled to Turkey in the Champions League on Wednesday.

WORD OF WARNING

SPARKS WILL FLY

It's first against second in what has become one of the most eagerly anticipated fixtures of the season. Bayern top the table on 22 points, just two ahead of their visitors, and the home side have the best attack in the league with 31 goals in their nine league outings so far. However, they are coming up against the best defence in the top flight this term; Leipzig have only conceded six goals to date.
