TALE OF THE TAPE

Dortmund are slipping down the table but remain four points off the top four as things stand. A win today will put pressure on those around them, while another defeat could see them fall even further behind with teams around them bagging points. Hoffenheim's season is stalling, too, and they're looking to push away from a potential relegation battle.

MOTIVE FOR HAALAND

Haaland has played more Bundesliga games (15) than goals scored (14) for the first time this season. The Dortmund No.9 will be out to get the goals above the games once again today.

JUDE BELLINGHAM EXCLUSIVE!

This week, bundesliga.com had the chance to sit down with Dortmund's 17-year-old midfielder to discuss his first season in the Bundesliga so far, his heroes growing up, how he's so confident and mature for his age and much more. Find the full interview on the website and in the app.

UNWANTED THREE-PEAT?

Hoffenheim have not lost three successive Bundesliga matches since August 2019, though the first two in that run fell at the end of the previous campaign. They have not lost three on the bounce in a single season since April 2015.

RECENT BVB STRUGGLES

Dortmund were in the top three for most points at home in each of the last two campaigns. They're ninth in the current home table on 16 points (W5, D1, L3). BVB also kept five clean sheets across their first six matches of the season. They've recorded just one in 14 since.

INJURY NEWS

Kramaric's injury has been confirmed by the club as an ankle problem. Hoffenheim have also confirmed that Richards is only on the bench due to a knock he took in the club's final training session yesterday.

WATCH: NO KRAMARIC, NO PARTY?

Hoffenheim's Croatian forward scored all four goals in this fixture last season, but is not involved today. Will Hoffenheim still be able to get a positive result without him?

BVB TEAM NEWS

Dortmund No.1 Bürki has a shoulder injury so his Swiss compatriot Hitz starts his third league game in a row. Meunier had to break off from training this week due to his knee injury. Can is on hand to fill in, with Bellingham back in to start in midfield. Brandt starts in an advanced midfield role with captain Reus on the bench.

HOFFENHEIM TEAM NEWS

The big news for the away side is that they are missing their man made for this fixture, in Kramaric. The record Croatian scorer in the Bundesliga hit all four of Hoffenheim's goals against BVB on the final day of last season but is out this afternoon. Bebou came on at half-time to score in the 3-1 defeat to Frankfurt and that strike - and his pace - see him displace Belfodil. Sessegnon will not return to training until next week. Despite three goals being conceded, Bayern loanee Richards impressed on the left of Hoffenheim's back three in his first full 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. The American defender is only on the bench this afternoon, though.
