IT COULD ONLY BE SILVA!

He's had chance after chance, and the goal finally comes for Silva. It's Durm who shoots from the edge of the box and it flicks off Kamada into the path of Silva, who beats Horn to the loose ball and chips the Cologne No.1 to add to his scoring tally. His 18th of the season, outscoring Lewandowski in 2021.

SILVA GOAL RULED OUT!

The one time Silva puts the ball in the back of the Cologne net, it's ruled out. Kostic tried to reach the ball before it went over the byline to cross into the middle. Silva nodded home the cross, but the ball had just gone out of play beforehand.

SILVA AGAIN!

Once again a cross from Kostic meets Silva in the middle and he gets a header on target, but there's not enough power or direction on it to beat Horn who plucks it out of the air.

WATCH: FRANKFURT'S FLYING EAGLES

TALE OF THE TAPE

Frankfurt's incredible form over the last two/three months has seen them fly up the table and a win today would see them leapfrog Leverkusen and Wolfsburg to sit third before the Wolves are in action later on. They could pull three points away from Leverkusen most importantly, though, after their draw with Mainz on Saturday. Meanwhile, Cologne are creeping away from the relegation zone with every passing game and currently sit four points clear of Bielefeld in the relegation play-off spot. Any points will be massive for them at this point.

IN SILVA, EINTRACHT TRUST

Jovic is once again among the substitutes for Frankfurt this afternoon, but that comes as no surprise when Silva is in the form of his career. Silva is the Bundesliga’s leading scorer in 2021 with eight goals and is already on 17 for the season.

COLOGNE'S HAPPY TRAVELS

Cologne have been much better on the road than they have at home this season, earning 15 of their 21 points on their travels.

TWO IN-FORM SIDE

The Eagles are the Bundesliga’s most in-form team, taking 19 of a possible 21 points since the turn of the year. The Billy Goats are in superb form themselves, however, winning three of their last four.

WATCH: LAST TIME OUT - SPOILS SHARED

Andre Silva scored for Frankfurt (unsurprisingly) but it was not enough for the Eagles to take all three points from their meeting with Cologne at the start of this season.

FRANKFURT TEAM NEWS

Frankfurt are without a league defeat since mid-December, and will be confident of extending that run against a side 10 places and 15 points below them in the table. But for Schubert, Hütter also has a full-strength squad to call upon for Sunday's game and has kept his team unchanged. Jovic is waiting on the bench.

COLOGNE TEAM NEWS

Dennis started at the Borussia-Park last Saturday, but Meyer only watched on from the bench. It's the same again today and Meyer might have a job getting in the team once fit, even if club captain Hector is struggling with a muscular injury. With neither in action, Rexhbecaj hit the high notes with both goals against Gladbach and keeps his place in the middle of the park. Jakobs left the game on crutches last week. J. Horn occupies his spot on the left.
