Miroslav Klose’s Nuremberg make goal-scoring history
Miroslav Klose’s Nuremberg penned a new chapter in Bundesliga 2 history in their 8-3 win over Regensburg on Matchday 10.
After racing to a 2-0 lead midway through the first half, Nuremberg were pegged back as the interval approached with Regensburg, bottom of the table and with just one goal scored all season prior to kick-off, clinical in staging an unlikely comeback.
Justin Justvan restored Nuremberg’s lead moments later, paving the way for an astonishing second half. Regensburg equalised again shortly after the restart but Justvan edged the home side in front once more just before the hour-mark.
A topsy-turvy encounter was ultimately decided thanks to a four-goal spell in the final quarter of an hour, in which Justvan completed his hat-trick.
