BACK UNDERWAY

We're underway again with the second half and we've had a change at the break. Daniel Ginczek is on to partner Wout Weghorst in attack, he replaces Renato Steffen.

SMITH ROWE ON FOR HIS DEBU T

The Englishman can enjoy the last couple of seconds of his first Bundesliga game as he comes on for Emil Forsberg.

GOOOO... NO!

Werner breaks away again but this time looks for Forsberg at the back post. His low cross is perfect and Forsberg tucks it away past Pervan, but the Swede was offside and Leipzig suffer a second disallowed goal of this second half.

PERVAN SAVES FROM WERNER

Turbo Timo races away down the right flank and in on goal with only Pervan to beat, but his shot is superbly saved by Pervan with his right foot. Werner has had several chances to add a second goal to his tally today, but the reserve Wolfsburg goalkeeper has been fantastic.
78'

TISSERAND GOES SO CLOSE

The ball swings to the back post of Leipzig's box and Brooks is on hand to head it back across goal, but he heads it into the ground and so the ball takes a big bounce, which means it goes over the head of Tisserand who was trying to put it home.
73'

WERNER FIRES JUST WIDE

Superb flick from Kampl goes through the Wolfsburg defence for Werner to latch on to. He shoots across goal, but the ball rolls beyond the far post of Pervan's goal.
70'

WERNER FLYING

Outstanding pace and power from Werner who sees Knoche fall to the ground as he powers past him, before cutting inside to shoot at the near post with his right foot. He forces a solid save from Pervan to deny him his second of the game.
65'

HALSTENBERG HEADS AT GOAL

A good cross to the back post from Kampl is headed towards goal by Halstenberg, but straight into the arms of Pervan in the Wolfsburg goal. Leipzig remain looking comfortable here.
58'

OPEN HALF SO FAR

Neither side able to take control of this game with plenty of pressing and mistakes being forced and made in midfield from both teams. The next goal is crucial as to whether we'll have a dramatic end to this game.
52'

LEIPZIG ALMOST IN THE UCL

As things stand, RBL sit seven points ahead of Borussia Mönchengladbach in the table, who are fifth. That means that Leipzig could confirm a place in the Champions League group stages with three wins in their next three games, also depending on the results that the Foals produce.
47'

GOOOO... NO!

Timo Werner eventually has the ball in the Wolfsburg net after a cross to the back post which he bundled past Pervan, before the Wolfsburg goalkeeper put it in off the post. But the flag is correctly up for offside.

LEIPZIG CLINICAL SO FAR

Two major chances on goal so far for the home side, and two goals scored. The new tactical set-up is working wonders for Leipzig's midfield when they win the ball in their own half, with Sabitzer, Kampl and Forsberg all able to quickly transition play. And two nice goals scored firstly by Kampl, and then Werner after the superb cross from Sabitzer.

WEGHORST ALMOST DOES THE TRICK

The Dutchman powers his way through two or three defenders with a header that finds Arnold down the left wing, and he sends in a low cross into the box. The ball misses Steffen, and runs past a defender to fall kindly for Weghorst, but he can't get a good connection on the ball as he stretches to meet it. Leipzig are able to clear in the end.
37'

LEIPZIG APPEALS FOR A PEN

Werner looks for Halstenberg with a backheel in the Wolfsburg box, but Knoche is in the way with what could have been his arm. The referee gives no decision, and VAR confirms that the contact did not warrant a penalty.

FIRST CHANCE FOR THE WOLVES

The away side win the ball in the Leipzig half and it's a quick counter with Arnold playing the ball in behind for Mehmedi. He pushes the ball past Gulacsi before looking to round the Leipzig No.1 and re-gain possession, but his touch was too strong and the ball rolls out of play.
28'

WERNER HEADS HOME

14th of the season for Timo Werner and a simple one for the German international. He drifts to the back post of the Wolfsburg box and meets Sabitzer's deep cross to head the ball back across goal, beyond Pervan's reach, and into the bottom corner.

THE WOLVES TRYING TO FIND THEIR FEET

Leipzig have drowned out any chances Wolfsburg had of heading towards goal so far with the ball, with high and intense pressing from the home side. It's been too hot for Wolfsburg to handle, but Leipzig themselves haven't produced another major chance on goal since the opener.
16'

KAMPL SMASHES LEIPZIG AHEAD!

Mukiele has the ball on the right wing and looks to push forward into the box, but has to abandon the plan having been blocked by the Wolfsburg defence. But in making his run, Kampl was left in space on the edge of the box, and the Frenchman found him before Kampl curled a lovely left-footed strike into the far bottom corner.

FORSBERG FORCES A SAVE

Good defensive work from Klostermann to win the ball in the Wolfsburg half before releasing Kampl through the middle. He then finds Forsberg with a through ball into the box, and the Swede cuts inside to shoot at goal on his right foot, but the effort is simple for Pervan to gather.

TALKING TACTICS

It looks like Leipzig are lining up in a three-man defence, with Mukiele, Konate and Klostermann making up the last line of defence. Halstenberg and Laimer are operating as wing-backs on the left and right flanks respectively in what is a new formation for Rangnick and Leipzig.

LEIPZIG ON TOP TO START

A couple of set-piece opportunities to begin the game for the home side but Wolfsburg have handled them well and look as if they'll be counting on counter-attacks to make their make on this game, with the home side controlling most of the possession.
