Eagles victorious
Game over. Eintracht fans will head out to celebrate with their side in sixth place, just five points off leaders Bayern Munich. A Kolo-Muani finish added to Marco Friedl's own goal to ease the hosts to victory. Werder are down in tenth following successive defeats. Napoli are up next for Eintracht on Tuesday in the Champions League.

Füllkrug denied
Füllkrug takes the through pass and drills low into the net. There's a flag up on the far side, however. Offside. That won't count.

Back to the drawing board
Ole Werner will find it hard to take many positives here. His side are heading towards a second successive Bundesliga loss without really showing any of their earlier season strength and bite.

Pavlenka denies Eintracht a third, saving from Sow. Borre batters the loose ball against the base of the post.

Sow shoots low
Werder give it up in midfield and suddenly Frankfurt are swarming. Sow goes it alone and shoots low at goal. Pavlenka bends to meet the ball but can only scoop it back into the danger zone. The visitors manage to clear.

Kolo-Muani makes way
The home fans are on their feet as Kolo-Muani makes his way off the pitch to be replaced by Rafael Borre. Not a hugely surprising move by coach Glasner with Eintracht facing Napoli in the Champions League this week.

No stopping him
Is Randal Kolo-Muani the signing of the season in world football? The former Nantes man is now on ten goals and ten assists in the Bundesliga in 2022/23. Phenomenal.

Kolo-Muani strikes again
Who else? Randal the Great with one more goal and the Eagles are flying. The busy Max crosses from the left and a Kolo-Muani header draws a super stop from Pavlenka. The ball lands at the feet of Knauff who dinks back towards the France international and a close range finish later means this an uphill task for Werder.

Bremen build
Werder win a corner and their fans raise the noise level a notch. It's taken short to Ducksch, who crosses into the Eintracht box. Jakic heads clear.

Half time
There's the break. Eintracht deserve their lead, which came after Marco Friedl put through his own net. Werder have offered zero as an attacking force and will need to change something if they want to get back into this.

Nearly Lindström
Yowza, Lindström almost scores a worldie. It's all back heels and flicks as the Dane combines with Max and Götze before seeing the lights of Deutsche Bank Park flash in his eyes and blasting over. Pity.
43'
Niggly
There's a smidgin of bite out there now as frustrations build in midfield. Not a huge amount of space for either side to work in at the moment.

Stark booking
Kolo Muani spins and looks to be away. Stark rugby tackles the World Cup finalist, who is not staying upright after that challenge. Yellow card for Stark.
37'
Frankfurt free kick
Max and Lindström stand over a free kick in a promising position for the hosts. The former trots forward and Max steps up. This looks rehearsed. But Werder are alive to this set piece and Eintracht have hardly worked it well anyway. Chance gone .

Bremen chance spurned
Ndicka fells Gruev wide on the right, which gives Werder a chance to stick one into the Frankfurt mixer. Ducksch wastes the set-piece, however, passing straight to Kamada, who wellies clear.

Looking back on the opening goal, it's not the first time Marco Friedl has put through his own net this season. The Bremen captain also had an o.g. to his name against Cologne on Matchday 16.

Eintracht come again
It should be 2-0. Kamada races onto the through ball and is suddenly one-v-one against Pavlenka. The Frankfurt man may have had a bobble before shooting, because otherwise it would be hard to explain why his effort flies off target.
9'
Eagles lead
From the subsequent set-piece, Max flights a pass towards the far post where Jakic is on hand to divert across the face. Friedl connects and sends the ball into his own net. Eintracht have made a big, big start here.
7'
Kolo Muani again
Kolo Muani is all over this one. The France international paces down the left and has Schmid giving chase. The Bremen man pulls back his opponent and Werder have a free kick.

Frankfurt danger
A delicious back-heel from Kolo Muani releases Lindström who barrels down the left and pulls back for Knauff. Veljkovic makes a crucial intervention and Bremen survive. The home fans enjoyed that move.

"Well organised"
Here's what Werder coach Ole Werner is expecting from today's hosts at Deutsche Bank Park: "[Eintracht] are very well organised at the back, they can hit you on the counter and can switch things up when they have the ball."

Werder have captain Marco Friedl back from suspension today while Romano Schmid comes into midfield for his first start this year. Ilia Gruev makes his first start for a month

Hasebe to continue at centre-back?
With Eric Dina Ebimbe out injured, Frankfurt boss Glasner has a choice to make as to who starts in his back-three. Club captain Makoto Hasebe is expected to get the nod but he's not the only one in the running to start alongside Evan N'Dicka and Tuta. "Makoto Hasebe, Hrvoje Smolcic and Kristijan Jakic are all options for central defence," Glasner told media on the eve of the game. "I haven't decided yet, but one of the three will play at centre-back."

Watch: Previous meeting: Bremen 3-4 Frankfurt
Fortune on Frankfurt's side?
The stars appear to be aligning for the hosts in this one. Oliver Glasner has won each of his last four Bundesliga matches against Bremen, Mario Götze has scored more goals against the Green-and-Whites than any other top-flight side (seven) and Frankfurt have won their last four competitive games on home turf.
Favourite opponents
The Eagles have enjoyed more Bundesliga wins against Bremen (37) than they have against any other team.
Top marksmen collide
Goals a re all but guaranteed here: Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani has more direct goal involvements than any other player in the Bundesliga this season (nine goals, 10 assists), while Bremen's Niclas Füllkrug has more goals (13) than anyone else.
