Dortmund rip Wolfsburg to shreds

What a display from the hosts! Braces for Adeyemi and Bellingham, plus goals for Haller and Malen, move them to within one point of Bayern at the top of the table with three games remaining. Wolfsburg, meanwhile, remain in seventh and miss the opportunity to move ahead of sixth-placed Bayer Leverkusen and into the UEFA Europa League qualification spots.

Terzic: "We want to keep the pressure on"

Terzic, meanwhile, was discussing his side's chances of clinching a first Bundesliga title since 2012. "In the last few weeks there have been changes at the top," he said. "We know that we don't have it in our own hands at the moment, but we can increase the odds with 4 wins so we want to keep the pressure on."

Kovac: "Really tough to get a win in Dortmund"

Kovac is under no illusions that this will be anything other than a difficult task for his Wolfsburg. He said in his pre-match press conference: "It’s really tough to get a win in Dortmund, and not just for VfL. In the first half of the season though, we managed to stop the run that BVB had enjoyed in Wolfsburg because we got an early lead, defended well and stayed focused."

Head-to-head

While Wolfsburg won the last meeting between the two 2-0 in November, Dortmund have dominated this fixture in recent years. Prior to that aforementioned defeat, they had prevailed in each of the previous nine encounters and were unbeaten in 14. As they look to keep up the pressure on league-leaders Bayern, history suggests they could hardly have picked a better fixture.

Dortmund team news

Meanwhile, Edin Terzic also brings in just one fresh face, with Raphael Guerreiro making way for Marius Wolf. As such, Julian Ryerson should move to left-back as Wolf slots in on the opposite flank.

Season over

It's been a bittersweet week for the Wolves, from a personnel perspective. The good news is that Micky van de Ven returns from suspension. He'll slot straight back into the side for Maxence Lacroix, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season after sustaining a shoulder injury last week.

Yes he Can!

Erme Can has so far faced Wolfsburg six times in the Bundesliga - and has won every single time.

Casteels leads the way

The Wolfsburg goalkeeper has more clean sheets this season (12) than anyone else in the Bundesliga. His opposite number Gregor Kobel has nine.
