Full-time: Dortmund 1-1 Hoffenheim

Bruun Larsen's 91st-minute goal cancels out Reyna's powerful effort in the first minute of the second half. The spoils are therefore shared in Dortmund, a result which leaves BVB in eighth and 11 points behind Bayern. Hoffenheim got a reward for their continued efforts, doing so in dramatic fashion.

Corner after corner

Schlotterbeck beats Hložek in the air and nods in behind for another set-piece. Dortmund clear this one initially again, and then catch taker Bruun Larsen offside as Hoffenheim work it wide again to put an end to the attack.

Bright run

Bruun Larsen drives past two Dortmund defenders on the left flank and sends it into the box, but his cross is deflected behind for a corner.

Couto down

The right-back has taken to the floor with an injury concern, and the medical staff are coming on to provide treatment.
82'

Dortmund looking to see it out

The substitutions have slowed down the tempo of the game somewhat, and BVB are now trying to get a foot on the ball and get this game over the line. Meanwhile for Hoffenheim, it's all systems go in search of a goal.
79'

First-team debut

Hennrich comes on for his first Hoffenheim appearance. He's never even been on the bench in the Bundesliga, and here is he replacing the club's all-time goalscorer Kramarić as part of a double sub with Akpoguma, who comes on for Stach.
76'

Youngsters swapped

Two shining lights in Gittens and Reyna come off in place of two more talents, Wätjen and Duranville.

Back in the side, back in the goals

Reyna took centre stage as he gave BVB the lead with a brilliant top-corner finish.

Goalscorer cautioned

A late challenge by Reyna on Geiger sees the USMNT international awarded a yellow card.
71'

Double sub

In an attempt to change things up, Ilzer brings on Geiger and Tabaković for Bischof and Moerstedt.
69'

More needed

Guirassy steps up and strikes the ball towards goal, electing to go the same side as Baumann is stood, but the effort lacks power and is at a comfortable height for the Hoffenheim captain.
68'

Promising position

Guirassy draws a foul just outside the area on the left-hand side. There are plenty of Dortmund players interested in taking this one on.
66'

Action-packed 20 minutes

The game has been very eventful since the restart, helped by Reyna's opener in the first minute of the half. Hoffenheim haven't let it affect them, though, and are continuing in their quest for a goal and for a result.
64'

Strong in the tackle

Schlotterbeck may have been a doubt for this game due to injury, but you wouldn't have been able to tell looking at that challenge he just put in on Bruun Larsen. Intensive stuff from the Germany international.
62'

Great cross

Prass whips a brilliant ball into the centre from the left touchline, and Hložek is first to the ball, flashing a header just over the bar.
61'

Risk-averse sub

Groß, currently on a yellow card, makes way for Marcel Sabitzer in a like-for-like switch.
59'

Off target

Hoffenheim work it up into the Dortmund third, and Bischof lays it back to Hložek, but his left-footed shot from the edge of the box goes well wide.
56'

Adeyemi curls it wide

Cutting in off the right once again, Adeyemi feints the shot numerous times before finally sending a left-footed strike across goal, and it bends just wide of the target.
54'

Ilzer reacts

After going a goal down, the Austrian has brought on attacker Bruun Larsen to try and get his side back in the game.
53'

Not the right cross

Gendrey tries to lift it into the middle, but the cross isn't well placed and rather resembled a shot than a cross.
51'

Almost the perfect return

Bensebaini switches the ball to Adeyemi on the right, who drives at the Hoffenheim defence before cutting in from the right and firing a left-footed shot towards goal. It flashes just wide of the target, but the returning winger is looking sharp.
49'

Making his mark

Reyna scores on his first Dortmund start for 14 months. The midfielder, who had a loan spell at English club Nottingham Forest last season, has taken his chance in the starting XI with a quick-fire goal after the break.

Half-time: Dortmund 0-0 Hoffenheim

It's honours even at the break at Signal-Iduna Park. The visitors have had more attempts, but none of these have found the target, whilst the home side, who were denied a penalty after a VAR check, are struggling to create high-quality chances. This game is certainly for the taking after the interval.

On the volley

A cross from the right towards the back post falls into the path of Bischof, who elects to volley it towards goal with his left foot. The swirling effort flies off target: that would have been some goal from the Hoffenheim midfielder!
40'

Just out of reach

Gittens sends another cross in towards the back post, seeking out Guirassy, but the ball is just too high for the striker and goes behind for a goal kick.
39'

Second time the charm

Groß crosses in from a corner, but it comes straight back to him from a Hoffenheim clearance at the near post. The second cross is much better and flies through the crowd without hitting a Dortmund player, but is still goal-bound and forces a good save out of Baumann.
36'

Cute pass

Reyna chips a great first-time ball into Guirassy on the edge of the box, but the striker cannot quite take it in his stride as it rolls back through to Baumann.

25'

Brave and decisive

Last man Chaves and Guirassy tussle for the ball, and the Hoffenheim defender goes to ground whilst stretching for the ball, but manages to get a piece of it and the referee is happy that the contest was fair.
24'

Gittens causing problems

The youngster cuts in off the left and skips past three Hoffenheim players before sending a lofted ball through to the back post, where, unfortunately for him, there are no takers.
22'

Close!

Groß whips the free-kick in towards the danger area, and Schlotterbeck manages to stretch a foot out to divert it towards goal, but it flies wide of the left post and into the side netting.
21'

First caution

Gendrey hacks down the dangerous Gittens, who had knocked it past the right-back, on the left edge of the box, conceding a free-kick in a good position for the hosts and receiving a yellow for his troubles.
18'

Latest Hoffenheim corner

Gendrey's deflected cross goes out behind the goal. Kramarić sends an out-swinging cross it into the box, but it falls to Reyna who is able to clear it out for another corner, from which nothing comes.
16'

Side netting!

Kramarić gets on the end of a long ball into the box and nods it past Couto cleverly to work space for a shot. This only finds the side netting, but Hoffenheim are looking dangerous here.
15'

Gittens recovers well

After initially slipping to concede possession to Gendrey in the Dortmund half, Gittens get back and gets his foot on the ball once again before drawing a foul to relieve the pressure.
14'

Early Hoffenheim attempts

The visitors are not looking to sit back in this one, and have already had three attempts, albeit none of them have been on target.

Well watched by Baumann

Couto's cross into the box from the right takes a nick off a Hoffenheim head, and with Guirassy charging in to get on the end of it, it looked like a tricky situation for Baumann, who watches the ball attentively before collecting.
9'

Nsoki wins the race

Ex-Hoffenheimer Beier looks to get on the end of a long ball in behind the visitors' defence, but Nsoki was alert to the danger and got back to intercept the pass.
8'

Moerstedt looking sharp

The 18-year-old uses his agility to shift past Schlotterbeck on the left side of the Dortmund box before flashing a shot across goal, but the effort goes high and wide.
7'

Visitors get first corner

Bischof goes long with the set-piece and picks out Kramarić, who tries to volley it first time back across goal with a left-footed shot. However, the spectacular shot goes well off target.
5'

First chance for Dortmund

Reyna slides it through to Gittens on the left side of the penalty box. The Englishman looks to square it to Guirassy, but a Hoffenheim player intervenes before it ends up in the arms of Baumann, putting an end to the attack.
4'

Baumann takes a risk

The Germany international takes his time as a backpass comes trundling his way, and despite pressure from Beier, Baumann keeps his nerves and gets the ball away from the potential danger.
3'

BVB start the game in tenth

This weekend's results so far mean Dortmund go into this one in the bottom half of the table, but a win here could see them spring up to fifth come full-time, with only one game left to play afterwards.
1'

Away we go!

The visitors kick the game off in their all-white away kit. Dortmund are naturally in their black-and-yellow home strip.
Kick-off!

The two sides have emerged from the tunnel and kick-off is imminent!

First league start for Moerstedt

The 18-year-old, who announced himself to the Hoffenheim faithful with an acrobatic equaliser against Midtjylland in the Europa League back in September, has been given his first Bundesliga start by Christian Ilzer today.

Some are available, others not

There was a long list of Dortmund players who were doubts for this afternoon's game. Whilst Maxi Beier and Nico Schlotterbeck have been able to make it back for the visit of Hoffenheim, the fixture has come too soon for the likes of Waldemar Anton and Julian Brandt.
camera-photo

More on those teams

There are three new faces in the Dortmund line-up compared to the side that began the 1-1 draw against Gladbach. Couto replaces Ryerson, who is ill at right-back, Can has come in for the injured Süle, and Reyna starts ahead of Sabitzer in midfield. Christian Ilzer makes just one change to his last Bundesliga XI, as Moerstedt comes in for Bruun Larsen in attack.

Dortmund starting XI

Kobel - Couto, Can (c), Schlotterbeck, Bensebaini - Groß, Nmecha - Beier, Reyna, Gittens - Guirassy

Dortmund subs

Meyer, Kabar, Lührs, Sabitzer, Wätjen, Azhil, Duranville, Malen, Adeyemi

Hoffenheim starting XI

Hoffenheim subs

Philipp, Hranáč, Jurásek, Akpoguma Geiger, Berisha, Tabaković, Bruun Larsen, Hennrich

Brandt to return?

BVB will hope that creative spark Julian Brandt returns to action after almost three weeks out. Anton (groin), Beier (knee) and Schlotterbeck (ankle) are also all doubts, while Mané (muscular) and Süle (ankle) are certainties to miss out.

Hoffenheim's busy treatment room

TSG remain without Bebou (knee), Becker (knee), Bülter (thigh), Grillitsch (ankle), Kabak (knee), Lenz (calf), Prömel (knee) and Tohumcu (ankle).

Second go for Ilzer

Hoffenheim's new head coach has already faced Dortmund this season, in the Champions League with his previous club Sturm Graz. BVB took a 1-0 win on that occasion, also at home, with Donyell Malen the goalscorer off the bench.

Back on top at home?

Dortmund lost their first home game of the season last time out against Barcelona in the Champions League (3-2). Before that they had a record of eight wins and a draw at the Signal Iduna Park.
