Nearly the double for Šeško

Šeško heads in the opener!

6'
Chance squandered
Marmoush goes clear into the Leipzig box. Instead of shooting, he looks for Ekitiké at the far post, but he doesn't put enough on the pass and Leipzig intercept. That was a real chance for the visitors.
2'
Goal disallowed already!
An electric start by the hosts. Baumgartner feeds a ball through for Openda to chase. He attempts to chip Trapp, but the keeper parries. Baumgartner follows up the loose ball and smashes it home, but Openda was offside in the build-up. A statement of intent from Leipzig?

Šeško and Openda the heroes again?
Leipzig's 3-0 victory over Frankfurt in the DFB cup came as a relief to Marco Rose's men, who overturned a streak of six games without a win. Šeško and Openda (brace) provided the goals that day, and both forwards start again this evening. Can they prove to be the difference once more?
More on those teams
Marco Rose makes three changes to his side that beat Kiel last week. Vermeeren is out serving a suspension and Haidara nurses a muscle issue, so in come Kampl and Schlager, who has recently returned from injury. Interestingly, Vandevoordt is preferred in goal to the veteran Gulácsi. Raum is named on the bench for the first time since recovering from his injury too. Likewise, Dino Toppmöller makes three changes to his side that drew 2-2 with Augsburg. Chaïbi and Nkounkou drop to the bench, whilst Tuta is out with a calf issue. In their places come Brown, Larsson and Uzun.
Leipzig starting XI:
Vandevoordt - Henrichs, Orbán (c), Seiwald, Geertruida - Kampl, Schlager - Baumgartner, Nusa - Šeško - Openda
Leipzig subs:
Gulácsi, Zingerle, Bitshiabu, Klostermann, Raum, Gebel, Jatta, Sakar, Silva
Frankfurt starting XI:
Trapp (c) - Kristensen, Koch, Theate, Brown – Knauff, Dahoud, Larsson, Uzun - Ekitiké, Marmoush
Frankfurt subs:
Kauã Santos, Collins, Nkounkou, Chaïbi, Götze, Höjlund, Skhiri, Bahoya, Matanović

Leipzig still in the wars
Marco Rose continues to deal with an extensive injury list of Bitshiabu (muscular), Castello (thigh), Elmas (hamstring), Haidara (muscular), Ouédraogo (thigh), Poulsen (thigh), Raum (ankle), Vermeeren (suspended) and Xavi (ankle).
Frankfurt in the title hunt
Thanks to Bayern's 2-1 defeat against Mainz, victory here would lift Frankfurt to just three points off the league leaders.
