Defending champions Bayer Leverkusen had two fine strikes represented in December, as did Borussia Dortmund and Holstein Kiel while there were also fine nominees from Mainz, Wolfsburg and St. Pauli for us to savour, and vote from.

Ultimately, it was the mentality monster Joshua Kimmich who won the vote for December's Bundesliga Goal of the Month.

It was a searing strike from range for the Bayern midfielder to make it 3-1 at the time and perhaps the simplest assist of Jamal Musiala's young career. With the game ending 5-1 in favour of the Bavarians, Kimmich's goal was the standout from a memorable evening for Vincent Kompany and co.
