2026/27 Bundesliga Fantasy Manager: New points from more match events
A new season brings changes to how points can be earned in Bundesliga Fantasy Manager for 2026/27 - available exclusively in the official Bundesliga app - now better reflecting a player’s impact on a match.
Goals, assists, shots and chances created have long been key to selecting players for your Fantasy team, as well as their defensive endeavours. But now the points scoring system is intended to give a more accurate reflection of a player’s overall performance.
The points awarded for existing categories have also been adjusted. For example, a midfielder providing an assist has dropped from 60 points to 40.
These changes are reflected in the ‘Points last season’ of every player, giving managers a better idea of how a player would have performed using the new system. For example, Michael Olise was the best player in 2025/26 with a final total of 9,283 points. Using the new rules, he would have got 8,700 – still the highest in the game.

The time a player spend on the pitch now also impacts how many points they can earn for team events, such as keeping clean sheets or scoring goals.
Points are calculated in proportion to the player's time on the pitch relative to the full match duration, including added time, and are always rounded up. For example, a defender earns 40 points for a clean sheet if they play the full game. If they only played one half, they would be awarded 20 points if their team didn’t concede at all in that match.
That applies for the following four categories:
Clean sheet
Points are awarded if the player's team finishes the match without conceding, even if the player has already been substituted.
Goal conceded (negative points)
The player's team concedes while the player is on the pitch. Players who have already been substituted are not deducted points.
Team goal
The player's team scores while the player is on the pitch. Players who have already been substituted are not awarded points.
Playing time
Points are calculated in proportion to the player's time on the pitch relative to the full match duration, including added time, and are always rounded up.
Among the other key new additions for 2026/27 are:
Goal created
A player receives these points when their action makes a significant contribution to a goal but is not recorded as the assist. This can include a key action before the assist or letting the ball run through for the scorer. For set pieces, the delivery must make a clear contribution to the goal. Only one player can receive these points for each goal.
Indirect assist
The player's action leads to a goal even though the ball is deflected, blocked or parried before reaching the goalscorer, or rebounds off the post or crossbar.
Long-range goal (bonus)
Bonus points are awarded for a goal scored from outside the penalty area.
Big chance created
The player creates a clear scoring opportunity for a teammate. A big chance is an opportunity to shoot from a highly promising position.
Shot blocked by an opponent
The player is awarded points for a shot that is blocked by an opponent.
Big chance missed (negative points)
The player misses a clear scoring opportunity from a highly promising position.
Successful dribble
A dribble is successful when the player beats an opponent while in control of the ball. Being fouled during the attempt also counts as a successful dribble.
Dribbled past (negative points)
An opponent dribbles past the player.
Ball recovery
The player actively wins the ball from an opponent and retains control of it.
