Alexander Nübel to join Bayern Munich from Schalke at the end of the season
Bayern Munich have secured the signing of Alexander Nübel from Schalke, with the former Germany U21 goalkeeper set to join the record champions at the end of the season.
Schalke confirmed recently that Nübel would not renew his contract with the Royal Blues, which expires at the end of this season, and Bayern will pick him up on a free transfer on 1 July.
Nübel will face stiff competition from Manuel Neuer - arguably the greatest goalkeeper of all time - at the Allianz Arena, but the club have shown faith in the youngster, handing him a five-year deal.

Nübel has made 52 saves for the Schalke this season, keeping four clean sheets.
The 23-year-old is suspended for Schalke's Matchday 18 opener at home to Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday 17 January.
Whether he keeps his place ahead of Markus Schubert for the rest of the Rückrunde remains to be seen.
