Ndiaye, a product of Gambinos Stars Africa football academy in Gambia, has enjoyed a rapid rise to Bayern’s first team because of Red&Gold Football - the joint venture between Germany’s record champions and Major League Soccer outfit Los Angeles FC opened the door for a move to Europe.
Having spent two weeks in Munich in October 2024, where Gambinos Stars Africa played Bayern’s Under-19s as part of the cooperation, Ndiaye clearly impressed.
As such, the teenager spent February and March 2025 with Bayern’s reserve and Under-19 teams before completing a two-month trial at Swiss outfit Grasshopper Zurich, where he featured against Joshua Kimmich and Co. in a friendly last summer before returning to Germany for another trial, but because of injury, he could only undergo rehabilitation.
Determined not to let injury dampen his spirits, Ndiaye joined Bayern in January 2026 on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign.
Possessing explosive speed and neat dribbling, Kompany handed Ndiaye his Bundesliga debut against St. Pauli on Matchday 29, replacing Jamal Musiala in the 84th minute to become the 10th teenager under the Belgian tactician to make his debut in the division.
A couple of weeks later, on Matchday 31, Ndiaye was given his first Bundesliga start against Mainz, playing 77 minutes as the champions fought back from 3-0 down at half-time to win 4-3.
Clearly impressing then Senegal head coach Pape Thiaw, Ndiaye - who earned his maiden senior cap in May 2026 - was named in his nation's FIFA World Cup 2026 squad and despite not playing a single minute of the group stage, featured in the round of 32 defeat against Belgium.
Following the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup, Ndiaye put pen to paper on his first professional contract with Bayern, which will keep him at the club until June 2031.

Strong in possession and excellent on the half-turn, Ndiaye is the link between midfield and attack. Although not as tall as Goretzka, the two possess similar attributes, albeit at a different level. In the few minutes that the 18-year-old has featured, he’s exhibited an ability to progress the ball while being an imposing figure in the middle third.

As Ndiaye is a non-EU player, he’s only able to feature for Bayern’s first team and isn’t eligible for the reserve or youth teams.
