Bayern Munich release home jersey for 2023/24 season
Bayern Munich have released their new home jersey for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
This year’s adidas design is described as “a nod to Bundesliga promotion”, which the record champions achieved back in 1965.
The base tone is white, with deep red on the sleeves and shoulders in a style similar to that worn by Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller & Co. to lead Bayern into the first division almost 60 years ago.
“Rot & Weiß ein Leben lang” (red & white for life) also features on the collar alongside the club motto of “Mia san mia”, while the backs will feature a new style of lettering and numbers.
“The colours red and white have been with me all my life. With this traditional design, the new home kit stands for the success story of FC Bayern Munich,” said club legend Thomas Müller.
As has become tradition, Bayern will debut their new strip in their final home game of the current season, when they host RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena on Matchday 33. Victory could potentially see the Bavarians wrap up an 11th consecutive Bundesliga title, depending on Borussia Dortmund’s result at Augsburg on Sunday in this incredibly tight race for the Meisterschale.
