Manuel Neuer joins top 10 players with most Bundesliga appearances
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is officially among the Bundesliga's top 10 list of players with the most appearances.
Neuer featured in his 512th Bundesliga game in Bayern's 1-1 draw at Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 12 of the 2024/25 campaign, drawing level with retired goalkeeping counterpart Uli Stein in the all-time rankings.
The 38-year-old becomes the only active player in a top 10 led by Eintracht Frankfurt one-club legend Karl-Heinz 'Charly' Körbel (602). Former Bayern great Oliver Kahn is the highest-ranked goalkeeper, in third, on 557 appearances.
Neuer, who is widely regarded as the greatest goalkeeper in history, started his playing career at boyhood club Schalke, making his Bundesliga debut in a 1-0 win against Alemannia Aachen on 19 August 2006. When he left for Bayern in summer 2011, he had already made 156 appearances in the German top flight.
Now an 11-time Bundesliga champion, among other trophy wins, Neuer ranks as the division's only goalkeeper on at least 100 appearances to have conceded fewer goals (435) than games played (512). The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner has also chalked up a record 231 clean sheets.

If Neuer features in Bayern's 22 remaining Bundesliga fixtures of the 2024/25 season, he will climb up to seventh in the appearance charts, level with former Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart custodian Eike Immel.
Another full campaign of top-flight football could lift him above Kahn into third, though the retired Germany international's current Bayern deal expires in summer 2025, when he will be 39.
