Bayern Munich announce summer 2024 tour of South Korea
Bayern Munich are heading back to Asia, when they will visit South Korea as part of their Audi Summer Tour.
Bayern will take part in the “Coupang Play Series 2024”, with matches taking place at the World Cup Stadium. Their opponents and the dates of their fixtures will be announced at a later date.
It is the second time in as many years that the record champions have touched down on the Asian continent, following last summer's trip to Japan and Singapore. They also stopped off in China and Singapore in 2017, but this will be the club's first visit to South Korea.
As well as stepping up preparations for the 2024/25 season in friendly action, Bayern's players will be involved in various fan-centred activities. South Korea international Minjae Kim can expect a particularly warm reception, though the Bayern squad is brimming with international stars, including Alphonso Davies, Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala and Manuel Neuer.
In June 2022, Bayern opened an office in Bangkok, Thailand, designed to better reach fans in Southeast Asia, India and Oceania. It is the club's third base outside of Germany, with New York (USA) and Shanghai (China) offices in operation since 2014 and 2017 respectively.
