Harry Kane returns as Bayern Munich beat Tottenham Hotspur again
Goals from Dayot Upamecano, Serge Gnabry and Thomas Müller helped Vincent Kompany to one more impressive friendly win against Spurs, with Harry Kane's return the icing on the cake for the Bavarians.
Bayern picked up a 2-1 victory in Seoul a week prior to a second meeting between these sides at the eye-catching Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. With a new Bundesliga season and an opening top-flight game against Wolfsburg coming rapidly into view, coach Vincent Kompany was keen for a victorious friendly repeat here. His side were soon up against it, however, with Spurs' Dejan Kulusevski taking advantage of a lapse in concentration in the Bayern defence in the opening minute. Undeterred, the Bavarian giants responded and they were soon on terms, Upamecano bundling home following some good work from Mathys Tel. Gnabry's top performance in the English capital was rewarded with a goal just after the half-hour mark, an unstoppable shot to the corner coming after some solid work by Jamal Musiala and Müller. Indeed, Müller was there again before the break to head in at the back post as the visitors surged into a 3-1 lead.
A plethora of changes at the interval took the flow out of proceedings somewhat but after Bayern found their feet once more, Gnabry was denied by a solid Guglielmo Vicario stop. The save lifted Spurs and they were back in the contest thanks to Kulusevski's second soon afterwards. Yet that was as good as it got for the home side, whose fans afforded returning great Kane rapturous applause as England's record goalscorer got back in action for Bayern following an extended break. The No.9 - who took the captain's armband when coming on late in the second half - twice went close as he looked to quickly find his groove. After helping his side see out this morale-boosting win that had the victors raising the Visit Malta Cup, Kane and Bayern will have more chances to impress with a game against Tirol in Unterhaching on Tuesday.

It's victory for Vincent Kompany's men at the home of Tottenham Hotspur, who fall to the Bundesliga giants for the second time in a week. Spurs took a first minute lead here but strikes from Dayot Upamecano, Serge Gnabry and Thomas Müller helped Bayern to push far enough ahead that Dejan Kulusevski's strike proved a mere consolation for the hosts.
A set-piece special from who else but Joshua Kimmich. The Germany international takes aim at the near post and looks on as his effort flies narrowly wide.

Aznou effort
Adam Aznou - who came on for Jamal Musiala at the break - has a go from distance but his effort is off target.

Tottenham change
Dejan Kulusevski is coming off to be replaced by Mikey Moore for the home side.

Palhinha on
Bayern's summer signing João Palhinha makes an appearance, as does Kingsley Coman. The lively Serge Gnabry makes way along with Aleksandar Pavlović.
RB Leipzig loanee Timo Werner is on here for the hosts, who also introduce Micky van de Ven, Rodrigo Bentancur, Destiny Udogie, Oliver Skipp, Lucas Bergvall, Cristian Romero and Archie Gray.

Double swap
Bayern have introduced former Spurs man Eric Dier and goalkeeper Sven Ulreich for the second half. Upamecano and Neuer make way.
That's the half and how well Bayern have responded to going a goal behind in the opening minute of this game. Subsequent efforts from Upamecano, Gnabry and Müller have Vincent Kompany's men on a high in London.
The home goalkeeper does well to parry out Musiala's drive. The visitors will be very pleased with their performance here so far today.

Musiala menacing
Again Bayern work it forward, with Tel picking out Musiala. The Germany international's strike just fails to go in and Spurs survive.

Gnabry gets it!
There's his goal. Super Serge spanks one into the bottom corner after some fine work from Musiala and Müller led to plenty of headaches in the Tottenham backline.
More good work from Kompany's side after Neuer foils Son's opportunistic strike. Gnabry does well to feed Müller, who sees Dragusin slide in ahead of him to rescue Tottenham.
Gnabry goes down in the box under a challenge Spence. Nothing doing, says the ref and on we go.

Tables turned
Most of the attacking intent is coming from the visitors now after Spurs' bright opening. Tel has an effort blocked while, at the other end, Musiala defends well.

Bayern go level!
Upamecano takes advantage after Vicario fails to fully clear and the French defender has the simplest task of scoring from close range. Kompany's men are on terms!
Bayern last took to Tottenham's stadium back in 2019, when they ran out emphatic 7-2 winners in a Champions League group-stage game. Serge Gnabry netted four times that night while Robert Lewandowski scored a brace and Joshua Kimmich was also on target for the Bundesliga side.
This has been a solid enough pre-season from Vincent Kompany's men thus far. The record Bundesliga winners have racked up results against Rottach Egern (14-1) and FC Düren (1-1) while last week's 2-1 victory against Spurs in Seoul mean they are unbeaten this summer so far.
Jamal Musiala is back in a strong Bayern line-up for this game today after the 21-year-old missed out on last week's encounter between these sides. Leroy Sané and Alphonso Davies are rested while former Spurs frontman Harry Kane and defender Eric Dier are on the bench for the Bavarian giants. Of Tottenham's latest signings - Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall - only Gray might see some action here with the England Under-21 international on the bench.

Impressive venue
Today's teams cross paths at the visually stunning Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which has a capacity of 62,850 and was inaugurated as recently as 3 April 2019.
Harry Kane returned to training following his post-EURO 2024 break, and what timing: his first pre-season appearance will come at Spurs, the club where he spent nearly two decades and scored 213 goals in 317 appearances for them. That tally - surprise, surprise - makes him Spurs' all-time leading goalscorer, but he'll be in a Bayern shirt this time. What sort of welcome will he get?
Hello! Bayern Munich inflicted a first pre-season defeat on Spurs when the two sides met just a week ago in South Korea. They go head-to-head again - this time in north London - on Saturday as they fine-tune their preparations for the new season. Follow the game live with us from 6:30pm CEST.
