The Allianz Arena was all abuzz as Bayern welcomed Union for what was a much anticipated encounter. With the hosts looking to maintain their position at the top of the table and Union aiming to bounce back from a recent DFB Cup shock, the stage was set. All eyes were on Kane, Bayern's prolific striker, who has been in scintillating form of late. Union, despite their strong defensive record, faced a daunting task against the Bavarian giants' formidable attack. Viisiting coach Bo Svensson opted for a defensive setup, starting with four center-backs to counter Bayern's offensive threat.

Kane breaks the deadlock

Bayern wasted no time asserting their dominance, however, with Michael Olise causing havoc in the Union defence. The breakthrough came in the 15th minute when Olise was brought down in the box by Benedict Hollerbach. Kane stepped up and coolly slotted home the penalty, sending Frederik Rønnow the wrong way. The England captain's clinical finish made it 10 Bundesliga goals for him this season.

Coman doubles the lead

As the first half progressed, Bayern continued to dominate possession and create chances. Union struggled to contain the relentless attacks, with Coman and Jamal Musiala causing constant problems. The pressure paid off just before half-time when Coman struck in the 43rd minute. Kane played a crucial role, receiving the ball from Alphonso Davies before setting up Coman, who finished with a sublime right-footed shot from close range. The Frenchman's goal gave Bayern a comfortable 2-0 lead at the break, reflecting their superiority.

Kane seals the victory

Any hopes of a Union Berlin comeback were swiftly extinguished early in the second half. Kane struck again in the 51st minute, converting a Coman cross to make it 3-0. The goal showcased the burgeoning partnership between Kane and Coman, with the Englishman bringing up his brace. Union, despite their best efforts and defensive setup, found themselves overwhelmed by Bayern's attacking prowess. The visitors managed only one shot on target throughout the match, struggling to create meaningful chances against a resolute defence led by Dayot Upamecano.

Bayern cruise to victory

With the result all but secured, Bayern continued to control the game, showcasing their strength in depth with strategic substitutions. Leon Goretzka, Leroy Aziz Sané, and Thomas Müller came off the bench to maintain the pressure on Union's defence. For their part, the visitors couldn't muster a significant threat to Manuel Neuer's goal. The match ended with Bayern securing a comfortable 3-0 victory, cementing their position at the top of the Bundesliga table and extending their impressive goal-scoring run under manager Vincent Kompany.

Player of the Match: Harry Kane

Kane was undoubtedly the standout performer, continuing his remarkable form in the Bundesliga. His brace took his tally to 11 goals in the league, showcasing his clinical finishing and positioning. Kane's first goal from the penalty spot demonstrated his composure, while his second highlighted his predatory instincts in the box. Beyond his goals, Kane's link-up play and ability to bring others into the game were crucial to Bayern's dominant performance. His overall contribution, including an assist for Coman's goal, underlined his huge importance to the team.
