Borussia Dortmund have been in rip-roaring form in pre-season, coming past each of Seattle Sounders, European champions Liverpool, and Udinese so far.

Dortmund’s summer transfer business – which saw them acquire Mats Hummels, Julian Brandt, Thorgan Hazard and Nico Schulz – has been the envy of the Bundesliga and beyond.

The team have gelled quickly if this summer is anything to go by, although perhaps the biggest winners have been Spanish goal-fiend Paco Alcacer, and 16-year-old American prodigy Gio Reyna…

Stunning efforts from Marius Wolf, Alcacer and Jadon Sancho handed Dortmund a 3-1 win over Seattle at the Century Link Field, with summer signings Schulz, Hummels, Hazard and Brandt all featuring for the first time.

Achraf Hakimi, Marco Reus and Jacob Bruun Larsen's brace completed Dortmund's perfect pre-season with a 4-1 victory over St. Gallen and former Hertha Berlin shot-stopper Jonathan Klinsmann.
