"That's high praise. When people compare me to Erling Haaland, I can only be grateful. It makes all the hard work worth it when you're compared to him," Fink said after scoring his 36th goal of the 2021/22 season to help Dortmund clinch the U19s Bundesliga title. The Swiss striker - who previously struck 40 times in 21 matches for the Luzern U16s - rattled off 16 goals in 15 league games, as well as five in eight UEFA Youth League outings, 13 in seven cup outings and two in 10 for the BVB reserves in Germany's 3. Liga, the group he'll represent full-time as of 2022/23.
Statiscally, that's a Fink goal every 91 minutes in all competitions. Haaland averaged one every 82 minutes across his final season at Dortmund, so there is plenty of weight behind the comparisons. Fink's multiple showings - three hat-tricks, three braces and one five-goal haul - reinforce the hype. The prolific Switzerland youth international, currently part of the U20s national team - also boasts Haaland's selfless streak as evinced by his 12 assists across 2021/22. There's not much between them physically either - a single centimetre in fact, with both a touch under 6'4".
Plays a bit like: Erling Haaland
Who else? A very modern No.9, who doesn't chain himself to the opposition penalty area, Fink is an instinctive and clinical finisher, equally as adept on his natural left foot as he is on his right side, and a real handful in the air. Then there's the BVB youngster's strong hold- and link-up play, aided and abetted by the self-same pace and athleticism of the man whose boots he is being tipped to fill for the pros.

With 17 goals in 29 appearances for the Switzerland U15s, 16s, 17s and 19s, Fink duly added to his tally on his U20s debut in a friendly win over Romania on 28 March 2022. However, an international tug of war could be on the horizon. Bradley's mother, Yvonne, is originally from Liverpool, England.
What they're saying
"With Bradley, we finally have a player with the potential to become a top centre-forward. He's hungry, and you get the feeling he wants to have a huge career." - Switzerland U19s coach Bruno Berner
"He's athletic, and has really worked on his hold-up play. He's making great strides, but there's always room for improvement." - Dortmund U19s coach Mike Tullberg
"He has great technique, good control and can also shift the ball on quickly. He's always looking for a direct route to the penalty area and can shoot with both feet. He also presses aggressively off the ball. He's a rough diamond." - Dortmund U17s coach Sebastian Geppert
"We had inquiries from 16 other clubs that approached us directly through our consultant," Fink's father, Thomas, on the interest in Bradley before his move from Luzern to Dortmund in 2019
