Cologne's Ragnar Ache receives Bundesliga Goal of the Season trophy
Cologne striker Ragnar Ache received the 2025/26 Bundesliga Goal of the Season trophy from team-mate Saïd El Mala after his unforgettable bicycle kick against Hoffenheim in February.
Ache's stunning strike claimed the award ahead of 14 other nominees after winning the fan vote on the official Bundesliga app.

The striker converted El Mala's cross with a stunning overhead finish against Hoffenheim, before the 19-year-old later presented Ache with the trophy during pre-season training.

Ache and Cologne will soon be chasing more goals, with their 2026/27 campaign beginning against Würzburger Kickers in the DFB Cup first round on 24 August before their Bundesliga opener five days later.
Fittingly, they start their league campaign with the same fixture that produced Ache's acrobatic effort – a home meeting with Hoffenheim – after Cologne finished 14th in their first season back in the top flight.
