"Most of all, I'm excited about the Südtribüne," Haaland told Bild. "I can't wait to play in front of the Yellow Wall. That will be a very special moment, whenever it is."

Haaland's first opportunity to play in front of the Signal Iduna Park faithful will be on Friday 24 January when Dortmund host Cologne in their second game of the Rückrunde. Haaland's Bundesliga debut can, however, come the week earlier, away at Augsburg on Saturday 18 January.

It could also be his first competitive game for the club, with Haaland expected to be involved in one of the club's last two friendly matches on Saturday against Feyenoord and Mainz. Head coach Lucien Favre suggesting that his new marquee signing will not be risked from the beginning of the Bundesliga restart.

"He hasn't been training long, so we're being cautious about how we bring him into the team," the Swiss tactician explained. "We'll integrate him into our system gradually, but when he's fit there's no doubt he'll bring us a lot of joy."

Before meeting his new faithful later this month, the Leeds-born striker is concentrating on building connections with his new teammates. Building the sort of friendships that help players achieve their dreams of lifting titles.

"Getting into training as quickly as possible, that's the most important thing right now," Haaland explained. "But of course, I also want to win something BVB in the immediate future. That's why you play football. Every professional dreams of lifting trophies, and I'm no different."

Despite being only 19, Haaland has already won two domestic titles with Red Bull Salzburg, clinching a league and cup double last season. The same was last achieved by Dortmund in 2011/12 under Jürgen Klopp.
