Bundesliga Fantasy Team of the Season so far
Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz are all in the Bundesliga Fantasy team of the season so far, but who else has made the XI alongside the Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen stars?
With unlimited transfers during the winter break, now is as good a time as any to take a look at the top performing players in Bundesliga Fantasy. How many can you fit in?
Goalkeeper
Nikola Vasilj
Team: St. Pauli
Value: 7m
Points: 2206
Nikola Vasilj may be Bosnia and Herzegovina's No.1 goalkeeper, but he was a relative unknown in Bundesliga terms - until now. The hulking 6'4" shot-stopper conceded a league-fewest 36 goals as St. Pauli were promoted last season, and has followed that up with 51 saves (the sixth most in the league), as well as racking up Fantasy points for his distribution and cross collection. Not bad for 7m.
Defenders
Maximilian Mittelstädt
Team: VfB Stuttgart
Value: 17m
Points: 3424
Maximilian Mittelstädt emerged as Germany's first-choice left-back at UEFA Euro 2024 and everyone can clearly see why by now. Mittelstädt is an asset at either end of the pitch, with a league-high 53 crosses helping him to a goal and four assists for Stuttgart this season. Over half of his points (1752 of them) have actually come from duels won.
Dayot Upamecano
Team: Bayern Munich
Value: 12m
Points: 3654
Dayot Upamecano has seen off competition from Eric Dier and Matthijs de Ligt - the latter now of Manchester United - to cement his place alongside Minjae Kim at the heart of Bayern Munich's defence. Vincent Kompany's faith in him has been justified, with the Frenchman scoring well for duels (1908 points) as well as his build-up play (1236 points) so far.
Álex Grimaldo
Team: Bayer Leverkusen
Value: 20m
Points: 3633
Álex Grimaldo hit the ground running in his maiden Bundesliga season, helping Bayer Leverkusen to a historic first league title with 10 goals and 14 assists as a nominal left-back while playing himself into the Spain squad. He slowed down somewhat in the current campaign, but Grimaldo has still hit 51 crosses - the second most in the league, as well as 28 goal attempts as Leverkusen have found an ominously good gear in recent weeks.
Midfielders
Michael Olise
Team: Bayern Munich
Value: 16m
Points: 3468
Having adapted in next to no time to life in the Bundesliga, Michael Olise has been a potent attacking asset for Bayern since arriving from Crystal Palace, with five goals and five assists. The French winger's trickery has propelled Bayern's march to the top of the table and harvested huge points for Fantasy managers wise enough to have him in their side.
Granit Xhaka
Team: Bayer Leverkusen
Value: 15m
Points: 3672
Leverkusen's string-pulling captain Granit Xhaka has completed 91.7% of his passes for Xabi Alonso's side, and also boasts seven direct goal involvements so far this season, making him an all-round Fantasy asset as well as a relative snip at 15m. The Swiss master was a vital cog in Leverkusen's dream year of football in 2024.
Florian Wirtz
Team: Bayer Leverkusen
Value: 20m
Points: 4813
Xhaka's teammate Florian Wirtz should still have another few levels to move through at 21, making his current performances quite remarkable. Seven goals and seven assists so far this season is the sensational output from the prodigal youngster, and his 207 duels won are also a league high by quite some distance - small wonder he is therefore the highest-scoring player in Fantasy.

Jamal Musiala
Team: Bayern Munich
Value: 20m
Points: 3645
Always a threat with his twinkle toes and attacking intelligence, Bayern's young marvel has noticeably boosted his scoring output in the current campaign. He has gained a healthy knack of heading goals in, with nine strikes already in total to his name - a huge Fantasy points tally is a logical consequence.
Joshua Kimmich
Team: Bayern Munich
Value: 15m
Points: 3543
Kimmich has been a key experienced figure for Vincent Kompany to remodel the Bayern midfield around. He has certainly got around the pitch too, with his 182.8 kilometres covered the second most of any player in the Bundesliga this season. Close to half of his bumper Fantasy points total has come from his impeccable service as a deep-lying playmaker (1718 points for build-up play).
Forwards
Harry Kane
Team: Bayern Munich
Value: 20m
Points: 3189
Kane again leads the Bundesliga with 14 goals already this season and added another five assists as he hit unstoppable form once more. It is little wonder, then, that despite missing two matches recently due to injury, he has the second-most points among Fantasy forwards, behind the final player in this line-up.
Omar Marmoush
Team: Eintracht Frankfurt
Value: 11m
Points: 4014
That Omar Marmoush has outscored even Kane this season in Fantasy points is remarkable - Eintracht's Egyptian prince has an incredible 13 goals and seven assists to his name. He has hit more shots than any other player in the Bundesliga by some distance with 64. Handily for Fantasy players, he costs 9m less than Bayern's star man - not bad!
