funny-frisch becomes Official Partner of Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2
The DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga has signed a long-term co-operation agreement with Intersnack Deutschland SE, a leading producer of savoury snacks in Germany. Its popular snack brand funny-frisch is now an Official Partner of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2.
The use of various rights for activating advertising and communications measures on TV, Point of Sale and digital are a focus of the official partnership. This includes using logos plus trophies on funny-frisch products as well as access to the Bundesliga database for use of moving image content for relevant funny-frisch activities and campaigns. The emotional impact of football and the shared community of fans is planned to further boost the Lachen verbindet (United by Laughter) funny-frisch marketing campaign in future.
The product range of the funny-frisch brand, which has been a sponsor in football for over 20 years, includes potato chips and other classic items like oven chips, kettle chips and successful innovations like lentil chips, popchips and a big range of specialty snacks like Jumpys, Ringli and Frit-Sticks.
Peer Naubert, Chief Marketing Officer of Bundesliga International GmbH, said: “In Intersnack, we have been able to gain another industry leader from the snack business for our partner portfolio. The funny-frisch brand enjoys great popularity among all generations in Germany and is a perfect fit for the Bundesliga. We are pleased to be working together with such a dynamic partner.”
Katja Johannson, Director of Marketing at Intersnack Deutschland SE: “This partnership is a win-win arrangement for all sides. The DFL is getting a strong partner in the savoury snacks field. Intersnack can use the emotional aspect of football and communicate with fans and consumers in this way, while retailers can look forward to exciting new marketing possibilities.”
