Bayern and Leipzig exceeded their respective xG values of 3.38 and 1.32 in a clinical showing at both ends. Leipzig demonstrated particular efficiency, with Marcel Halstenberg's goal for 3-1 and Dani Olmo's for 4-3 rated at two and four percent respectively.

Halstenberg scored one and fired in another shot, giving him +1.0 for finishing. Olmo (+0.9), Jamal Musiala and Benjamin Pavard (both +0.8) - the Bayern duo scoring with their only efforts on goal, with a respective xG of 24 and 18 percent - followed.

Interestingly, Leipzig's play in the attacking third was distributed evenly across wide (32 percent on each side) and central areas (18 in each half space). Bayern, on the other hand, made 31 percent of their attacks via the left wing, and 26 via the left-hand half space, compared to 21 percent in each of the corresponding areas on the right.

Musiala was the standout performer on the Bayern left, scoring the opener and initiating the second and third goals. Free-roaming forward Sadio Mane, left-back Alphonso Davies, central midfielder Joshua Kimmich and left-side central defender Lucas Hernandez also saw plenty of the ball on that side of the pitch.

Unsurprisingly, Musiala was Bayern's Most Pressed Player. The Bayern teenager found himself under opposition pressure on 27 occasions, finishing behind only Leipzig's Dominik Szoboszlai und Konrad Laimer in that category.

The lightning-quick Davies sounded the Speed Alert with a match-high pace of 22.12 mph/ 35.61 km/h. Kimmich (+5.2) and Hernandez (+4.8) topped the pile for pass efficiency, while Mane was denied his second and third goals by the linesman's flag.
