Tanganga makes the switch after eight years with boyhood club Tottenham. The London native is a centre-back by trade, but can also operate on the right-hand side of defence, as he did on his English Premier League debut against Liverpool on 11 January 2020. It was the first of 27 top-flight appearances to date, 24 of which have been starts. The London native has also represented his parent club in English domestic cup competition, as well as the UEFA Champions, Europa and Europa Conference League.
Tanganga previously turned out in England colours at every youth level from U16-21. The 6'1", right-footed defender will wear the No.39 shirt at Augsburg, who have the option to make his loan deal permanent if certain, undisclosed conditions are met.
