All the new Bundesliga jerseys for the 2022/23 season
Champions Bayern Munich have released their 2022/23 kits, which will feature a one-off badge to commemorate their unprecedented achievement of winning 10 successive Bundesliga titles. But what will their rivals be wearing? bundesliga.com presents the latest threads as they drop...
The shirts combine the official colours of the club and the city with FCA’s long tradition as a club. The 2022/23 home shirt features the colours red, green and white. Not only are these the official club colours, they are also the official colours of the city of Augsburg. The main colour of the shirt is red, while green and white horizontal stripes round off the design. Numbers and player names are printed on the shirt in white. Script reading “rot-grün-weiß” (red-green-white) is printed on the back of the shirt under the collar.
FCA’s new away shirt will once again be white. A pattern of thin, horizontal red stripes adorns the sleeves of the shirt, while numbers and player names will be printed in red. The back of the shirt includes the Latin words “Augusta Vindelicorum” under the collar, which refers to the city of Augsburg. The highlight of the shirt is the Augsburg skyline on the front, which drives home the club’s connection to the city and will serve as a reminder of home, even during the club’s upcoming away games.

Bayer Leverkusen
The 2022/23 Leverkusen home offering is all-red, with white and black trims on the sleeves and collar. The shirt has a two-tone red in a soundwave form across the front that is, according to the club website, "inspired by the fan chant LEVERKUSEN ALLEZ". They hope that this means that Die Werkself's support will be "unmissable" and "unmistakable" in both the stands and on the pitch.

Bayern's new threads are a return to a vibrant red last seen in 2017/18. The jersey features horizontal white pinstripes of varying thickness across the front, while the 'Mia San Mia' ('We are who we are') club slogan appears under the collar to the rear. Red shorts and socks complete the look. As well as the 'Serienmeister' ('serial champions') badge that will adorn the chest, a special logo celebrating those 10 straight titles will be incorporated into the new official Bundesliga sleeve badge for the 2022/23 campaign.
Their away strip is an all-white affair with gold accents and the Münchner Kindl, the emblem of the city of Munich, on the back of the neck as a reminder of the club's home. It is completed with white shorts and socks, and is made out of 100 per cent recycled materials.

"Different from day one" is how BVB have coined their new strip, combining tradition and modernity as they look back to 19 December 1909 and the Wildschütz restaurant where 18 young men founded Ballspielverein Borussia. Even the windows of the Wildschütz are incorporated into the shirt. The neck of the shirt features the words “Borussia verbindet” (Borussia unites), a reminder from the club that we can overcome all odds if we stick together.
The flags that the fans wave in the stadium can also be seen in the new away jersey. They have been stylised into the check pattern of the 2022/23 shirts so the team carry the support with them even on the road in this black strip with yellow accents for Die Schwarzgelben.

The Billy-Goats kick off their new partnership with kit supplier hummel paying homage to the Cologne team that won the 1968 DFB Cup.
The club states that, "The strip, which was chosen by the FC kit commission, takes inspiration from the engagement of our partner in terms of sustainability, inclusion, and diversity. The new home kit for the 2022-23 Bundesliga season expresses what makes this relationship so special: a tradition that lives, a feeling of togetherness that goes through the generations and shared values which are the binding elements for the start in the club’s 75th season."

Die Adler will be using an all-white home jersey this season. The collar and sleeves feature a continuous black stripe, and the club initials – SGE – are on the neck. The Eagle on the chest is in black and white, while the name and number on the back of the player’s jersey will be printed in black. The shorts are black and the socks are white. The environmentally friendly kit is made - with the help of reused plastic bottles - from 100 percent recycled polyester fabric.

Freiburg will play their home games in soft red, with slender white stripes. Their away shirt has black sleeves that, when combined with white patterning across the body, appear almost grey across the body. The change strip offers a similar effect on the sleeves, but the main colour is pure white. In keeping with the club's green ethos, all three kits are made from 100 percent recycled polyester.

Hertha remain faithful to their traditional blue and white stripes at home. On the road, it's a two-tone dark blue effort, as has become the norm down the years. On closer inspection, the home strip celebrates city landmarks, and is complemented by blue shorts and white socks.

Hoffenheim have gone for a classic shade of royal blue, with the addition of ice-blue and white lines that "symbolise the hilly landscape typical of the Kraichgau," where the Sinsheim club is based. The shorts are white with blue hems. The socks are blue, with a single white stripe at the top.

Mainz have done away with their Carnival-inspired number in favour of a dapper two-tone red home shirt with gold trim. On the final day of 2021/22, the players wore a special edition version of the new jersey emblazoned with the words 'You’ll Never Walk Alone' and a heart in blue and yellow representing the colours of the national flag of Ukraine. The shirts were available in limited supply, with €10 from each sale being donated to the Better World Foundation to help Ukraine.

Schalke unveiled the new shirt ahead of their first pre-season friendly at the end of June. The outfit combines royal blue with white accents, featuring a v-neck with a white line that makes its way around the collar. Three iconic white stripes run along the shoulders, while 'Schalke' is printed above the player name and number. There's also a prominent 'S04' on the collar. The full kit features white shorts with royal blue stripes to go with royal blue socks.
"We will be representing our club colours in the Bundesliga - both on the pitch and in the stands," Schalke CEO Dr. Bernd Schröder said. "We will also be donning a new, flattering design. Simple, classic and royal blue - just how it should be."

New season, new sponsor, new threads. Union have released all three of their kits for 2022/23, beginning with an eye-catching third strip of black with red and green flecks. Their away jersey is an understated sand number, while the home shirt features vertical red and white stripes. The club badge takes pride of place of both offerings, along with main sponsor wefox and arm sponsor Comedy Central.

Werder's new home shirt is more white than green. Diagonal stripes form rhombuses across the front and back in a nod to the club's badge, while green shorts and green-white socks complete the look. Green Legend replaces Wiesenhof's as the main sponsor - both brands being owned by the PHW-Gruppe.

The Wolves have delivered another eye-catching home strip for 2022/23, which the club's traditional green describe as "bright yet powerful", with "dark blue accents on the neck and sleeves". It's also notable for being made from recycled polyester fabric, which has been sourced from recycled plastic bottles to reduce its impact on the environment and is in keeping with the club's bid to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2025.
