Freiburg's record Bundesliga goalscorer Nils Petersen: "Great to get a mention in the history books"
Nils Petersen says he is happy to go into the Freiburg record books as the club's record goalscorer, but would have preferred it if his side had got a result instead of losing 3-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt on Matchday 18.
Petersen's consolation strike was his 38th for Freiburg (and 21st as a supersub), making him Freiburg's all-time leading marksman in the Bundesliga, overtaking Papiss Cisse.
"My personal record is not that important, it would have been better had we won today," the former Jena, Cottbus, Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen forward told bundesliga.com after the game. "But of course I'm pleased about every goal I score, and if I get a mention in the record books it's great."
