Terms and Conditions for Participation

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve the chances of winning. Void where prohibited.

1. Competition

1.1 DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH, Guiollettstrasse 44-46, 60325 Frankfurt/Main, Germany, ("DFL" or "We"), conducts a competition ("Competition") among everyone who has a Bundesliga account upon the beginning of the Competition on 1 July 2024 or registers a Bundesliga account via the registration option offered on Our official website www.bundesliga.com ("Website") or in the official Bundesliga app before the end of the closing date for the Competition on 28 July 2024, 23:59 PM (CEST) and actively confirms participation after logging into their Bundesliga account.

Participation in the Competition and how it is conducted are governed by these Terms and Conditions ("Ts&Cs"), which the participant ("Participant") recognizes as binding by participating in the Competition.

1.2 Participants who (i) already have a Bundesliga account upon the beginning of the Competition or have registered such a Bundesliga account and, if and to the extent required by Us, have confirmed this registration by means of a so-called double opt-in before the end of the closing date for the Competition on 28 July 2024, 23:59 (CEST), (ii) have also actively confirmed participation after logging into their Bundesliga account and (iii) are eligible to participate and win in accordance with Clause 2 will go into the draw to win one of the following 42 prizes:

·        2 x 1 Exclusive Supercup Experience package, each package consisting of two tickets to Supercup 2024 match (VIP tickets)* between Bayer 04 Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart in Leverkusen on 17 August 2024 at 20:30 PM (CEST), a meet and greet with a Bundesliga legend, field access before the match and two limited Supercup T-shirts in airbrush design (size depending on availability).

This prize also includes travel for two persons from a main train station near the respective winner’s place of residence to Leverkusen main station (from Germany) or a major airport near the respective winner's place of residence to Cologne/Bonn airport (outside Germany) and two nights' hotel accommodation including breakfast (double room).

·        3 x 1 Supercup Premium Party package

Each package consists of two tickets to the Supercup 2024 match (VIP tickets)* between Bayer 04 Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart in Leverkusen on 17 August 2024 at 20:30 PM (CEST), a stadium tour before the match and two limited Supercup T-shirts in airbrush design (size depending on availability).

·        5 x 2 tickets to Supercup 2024 match (regular category)* between Bayer 04 Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart in Leverkusen on 17 August 2024 at 20:30 PM (CEST)

·        5 x 1 DerbyStar match ball (Supercup 2024 edition)

·        10 x 1 voucher worth EUR 50.00 each for the fan shop of a club of any Bundesliga or Bundesliga 2 (at the choice of the respective winner)

·        7 x 1 Sky Bundesliga streaming voucher for one month

·        10 x 1 Topps Bundesliga Match Attax Extra 2025 - starter pack Bundle

* Please note the further regulations in Clause 3.3 with regard to winning tickets and any associated travel and accommodation packages.

1.3 The Participant is solely responsible for the timeliness of such registration and participation as well as the correctness of the Participant’s information. Registrations and entries after the closing date will not be considered.

2. Authorization to participate and win

2.1 Only individuals who have reached the age of 18 years are entitled to participate in the Competition.

2.2 Participation in the Competition is free of charge.

2.3 Any false or fake personal information provided by the Participant authorizes Us to exclude him or her from the Competition.

Participants who secure an illegal advantage over other Participants, or whose entries contain immoral, slanderous, discriminatory, disgusting or other illegal material, or which show or call for illegal activities will also be excluded from the Competition. Automatic computer-generated entries, multiple entries and multiple entries under different email addresses are not permissible and will not be considered in the draw.

Our Employees, the employees of companies affiliated with Us within the meaning of §§ 15 et seq. German Stock Corporations Act (Aktiengesetz, "AktG") and DFL Foundation, employees of Our licensees, partners and sponsors, contractual partners and of those of companies affiliated with Us within the meaning of §§ 15 et seq. German Stock Corporations Act (Aktiengesetz, "AktG") and DFL Foundation are excluded from participation. The respective relatives of all these employees are also excluded from participation.

We can demand return of a prize that has already been granted in all the above-mentioned situations.

2.4 An alternate winner will be determined by conducting a new draw excluding the respective original winner in the following cases: (i) the respective winner has not reached the age of 18 (ii) We reclaim a prize already distributed in accordance with Clause 2.3, (iii) the respective winner fails to contact Us within the period specified in Clause 3.2 (iv) the respective winner provides false or fake personal information and/or (v) the respective winner and/or his/her accompanying person is/are not in possession of the required travel documents (e.g. passport, visa, etc.) in due time.

3. Prize notification

3.1 Prizes are limited to one prize per winner.

3.2 The winners will be drawn and notified by email until 5 August 2024. The respective winner is obliged to contact us within seven calendar days after sending this notification. If a winner fails to do so, the respective prize will be forfeited. In this case, an alternate winner will be selected at Our sole discretion by conducting another draw excluding the respective original winner.

3.3 With regard to prizes in the form of tickets and any associated travel and accommodation packages, the following additional regulations apply:

3.3.1 Tickets will be delivery be e-mail.

3.3.2 The claim for the prize will be forfeited if the prize cannot be redeemed on the day of the Supercup 2024 match due to reasons which lie solely in the person of the winner or in his/her area of responsibility (e.g. no match attendance possible due to illness).

3.3.3 Winning tickets entitles the respective winner and his/her accompanying person exclusively to their private, non-commercial use. Any commercial or business resale and any other unauthorized transfer or offering of tickets by the winner concerned is prohibited. In particular, he/she is prohibited from offering, selling and/or passing on the tickets publicly, in particular at auctions or on the Internet (e.g. on Ebay, Ebay classifieds, Facebook) and/or on sales platforms not authorized by DFL and/or the participating Bundesliga clubs (e.g. viagogo, seat-wave, StubHub), or passing them on to persons who are banned from attending stadiums or who have been banned from attending sporting events in the last five years for security reasons.

In addition, the General Ticket Terms and Conditions of Bayer 04 Leverkusen apply.

3.3.4 The winners of the Exclusive Supercup Experience package and their accompanying persons are solely responsible for ensuring that they are is in possession of the required travel documents (e.g. passport, visa, etc.). Clause 2.4 applies.

The respective winner of the Exclusive Supercup Experience package is also responsible for the charge and security of ground transportation to/from the main train station or major airport at point of origin (for further details see Clause 3.3.6). The train company or airline will be selected at the sole discretion of the DFL. Once the tickets have been issued, any change fee must be paid by the respective winner if he/she wishes to change trains or flights or dates of travel.

3.3.5 With the exception of the winners of the Exclusive Supercup Experience package, the winners of tickets for the Supercup match 2024 are responsible for organising their travel to and from the match and any necessary overnight accommodation. The associated costs are to be borne by them.

3.3.6 Any expenses and incidental costs which are not expressly indicated in these Ts&Cs (in particular in the prize description in Clause 1.2) have to be borne by the respective winner, especially but not limited to the travel from/to the main train station or major airport or near the representative winner’s place of residence, the stadium and/or hotel, possible accommodation, telephone/internet, food, room-services charges, parking fees, insurances, visa and gratuities as well as individual expenses for tobacco, alcohol, clothing, gifts or anything similar.

3.4 The claim for the respective prize is not transferrable. A cash payout or payout with physical items is excluded.

3.5 We will not bear any further costs, in particular due to the non-delivery of a prize to the address named by the respective winner.

3.6 Possible taxes and fees in connection with a prize must be borne the respective winner.

4. Data privacy

4.1 As part of the redemption of the Exclusive Supercup Experience package and the Supercup Premium Party package (e.g. during the meet and greet with a Bundesliga legend or the stadium tour), the DFL and or third parties appointed by DFL would like to take photos and record audio and video content. These recordings can show these winners and their accompanying persons redeeming their prize. Among other content, the DFL would like to use individual sequences from these recordings to produce a recap clip that serves to document and promote the diversity and breadth of the DFL's global marketing activities (e.g. in discussions with current or potential licensees or partners). Such recap clip will contain additional content such as sequences of watch parties and maketing campaigns conducted by the DFL abroad in various target markets. Some of these recordings may become part of presentations (e.g. for internal purposes or discussions with current or potential licensees or partners).

The respective winners and their accompanying persons grant the DFL the exclusive right to utilise and publicly reproduce these recordings for the aforementioned purposes without restriction in terms of time and territory. The use of the recordings is always expressly limited to showing these winners and their accompanying persons in this capacity. The recordings will be shown on the official websites (e.g. bundesliga.com) and social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn) of the DFL. Individual information about the respective winner and his/her accompanying person (e.g. name and other information, including country of origin) may be displayed. The recap clip will not be passed on to third parties for publication by them. It can only be shown in discussions with third parties (e.g. with current or potential licensees or partners). However, presentations in which individual recordings have been included may be shared with current or potential licensees or partners.

The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) of the European General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"). The DFL has a legitimate interest in promoting the competition as well as the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2, supporting its marketing activities in the media and presenting interesting media content to its users.  

4.2 If there is any suspicion that the tickets have been resold by the respective winner contrary to Clause 3.3.3, We may share the name and contact details of the respective winner with the participating clubs, so that they can take sanction measures against this winner. The legal basis for the transmission is the legitimate interest of DFL and the participating Bundesliga clubs pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR. Our interest consists in the prevention of the unauthorized ticket resale.

4.3 In the event that it is necessary to redeem a prize, We will ask the respective winner for additional contact information (e.g. postal address). If a prize or part of a prize is redeemed through retailers or other providers, We are entitled to share the contact data of the respective winner with the respective retailer or provider so that they can contact the respective winner. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 b) GDPR.

4.4 We will observe all legal provisions on data protection and data safety. All personal data of the Participant in connection with the Competition will be solely collected, processed and stored for its conduction and deleted afterwards, unless We are legally required or entitled to further store the respective personal data. If recordings of the respective winner and/or his/her taccompanying person were used for the recap clip, We will not republish such recordings online after the initial publication of the recap clip, but they will still be available online (e.g. in archives or in older social media posts). We will no longer use Recordings that became part of presentations after the 2025/2026 Bundesliga season.

4.5 The collection, storage and processing of personal data of the Participant (including their deletion and retention periods) in connection with the registration of a Bundesliga account and/or the subscription for and sending of newsletters (e.g. the Bundesliga Newsletter) shall in turn be conclusively determined by the Terms of Use for Services Subject to Registration and the applicable Privacy Statement.

4.6 The controller of personal data processed according to these Ts&Cs is the DFL. The further data protection provisions including the rights of the Participant under the GDPR and the contact data of Our data privacy officer can be found in the Privacy Statement under the following link.

5. Warranty and liability

The following provisions apply for Our warranty and liability for the Competition provided free of charge, regardless of the legal basis:

5.1 Our liability is limited in amount to the harm typically foreseeable when concluding the contract in the case of minor negligent violation of primary duties [Kardinalpflichten] (i.e. material duties which must be fulfilled by Us and which are of major importance for achieving the purpose of the Competition or which must be complied with by Us and which, if violated, can result in endangering achievement of the purpose of the contract). We are not liable for minor negligent violation of other duties.

5.2 We assume no warranty for defects in substance and/or defects in title with regard to a prize. The respective winner can only assert warranty claims against the respective supplier. If a prize or a part of a prize is provided by a partner, We are also not liable for any insolvency of this partner and the consequences of insolvency. Exclusion of the above liability for defects in substance and/or defects in title on the part of DFL does not apply if the defect in title or in the item was fraudulently not disclosed by Us.

5.3 The above limits and exclusions on liability and warranties do not apply in cases in which liability is mandated by law, especially in the case of culpable injury to life, physical integrity and health or claims under the German Product Liability Act [Produkthaftungsgesetz]. To the extent that Our liability is excluded or limited, this also applies for the personal liability of corporate bodies, employees, representatives and agents.

6. Other provisions

6.1 We reserve the right to interrupt or shut down the Competition at any time without stating reasons. Especially reasons involving technology and/or legal matters, as a result of which the Competition can no longer be properly conducted, can be the basis for the end of the Competition.

6.2 The Competition is not connected to any social media platform and is not sponsored, supported or organized in any way by them. Such social media platforms are not the contact person for the Competition. Questions regarding the Competition have only be addressed to Us at info@bundesliga.com.

6.3 Legal recourse is excluded. Only the law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.

6.4 Place of performance for the Competition is Frankfurt am Main.
