Full-time: Fortuna Düsseldorf 5-0 Eintracht Braunschweig
The home team's victory was never in danger, having been secured between the fifth and twelfth minute with three quick-fire goals. Braunschweig looked overwhelmed, and not just in the opening phase. However, Eintracht managed to make the second half somewhat more balanced.

Half-time: Dusseldorf 3-0 Braunschweig
The first half was hardly to be surpassed in terms of one-sidedness in this usually well-balanced league. Braunschweig were not only too far away from their opponents during the three goals conceded, but also won only about 41 percent of the duels overall and allowed the hosts to dominate for long stretches. Düsseldorf could be leading by an even larger margin here.

Two changes for Braunschweig
Eintracht coach Daniel Scherning also makes two changes compared to the last match (a 0-0 home draw against Regensburg): Fabio Kaufmann and Walid Ould-Chikh start in place of Sanoussy Ba and Sebastian Polter (both on the bench).
Thioune makes two changes
Fortuna manager Daniel Thioune makes two changes to his starting lineup from the 2-2 draw in Nuremberg: Shinta Appelkamp and Giovanni Haag come in for Matthias Zimmermann and Dzenan Pejčinović (both on the bench).
Braunschweig starting XI
Johansson - Jaeckel, Bicakcic, Ehlers - Kaufmann, Krauße, Köhler, Bell Bell, Gomez, Ould-Chikh - Philippe
Fortuna starting XI
Kastenmeier - Oberdorf, Hoffmann, Siebert - Lunddal, Sobottka, Haag, Iyoha, Appelkamp, Johannesson - Kownacki
What Daniel Scherning says
"They might be like a battered boxer who has a bit more anger in his belly. I believe their goal is clear: to turn things around with a home win on Sunday. So we can't afford to expect them to play as they have been recently."
What Daniel Thioune says
"It affects you when you go winless in five home matches in a row. The club and the fans deserve much more. But I'm happy now that we have another home match. We want to break the streak, that's the only thing we're working on."
An expert on playing Eintracht
Daniel Thioune has recorded six wins and one draw in seven competitive matches against Braunschweig as a manager (with Düsseldorf, HSV and Osnabrück). That's the most victories he's celebrated as a manager against any one team.
Exciting in all leagues
Both clubs played together in the Bundesliga for 13 years (most recently in 1984/85), and are now experiencing their 11th joint season in the Bundesliga 2. However, perhaps the most spectacular encounter between Düsseldorf and Braunschweig took place in the third division, when they engaged in a 5-5 goal fest at Hamburger Straße in May 2009.
Goals guaranteed
In 30 home matches against Braunschweig across all competitions, Düsseldorf have only failed to score on one occasion, and that was over 50 years ago (0-0 in the Bundesliga in 1971). Since then, Fortuna have scored at least one goal in their 28 home matches against Braunschweig.
Fortuna dominant
Düsseldorf have gone unbeaten against Eintracht in their last eight meetings (four wins, four draws), with Braunschweig's last victory coming 2-1 away in the Bundesliga 2 in March 2017.
