Full-time: Kiel 0-2 Leipzig

Marco Rose's side are finally back to winning ways. In many ways it wasn't always a pretty performance, but Leipzig defended and battled well, weathered the Kiel pressure and were clinical when they needed to be. André Silva's penalty doubled the lead that was found in the first half by Benjamin Šeško. That's now four consecutive Bundesliga defeats for Marcel Rapp's Kiel side.

58'

Golden chance for Skrzybski

Kiel win it high up the pitch thanks to Machino. He plays Porath through and Kiel have a two-against-one. The wide man squares it into Skrzybski in the middle, who slides to reach the ball, making contact, but he can't generate enough power to beat Gulácsi. What a chance!

Half-time: Kiel 0-1 Leipzig

Šeško's goal is all the separates the sides at the end of the first half. Neither side have managed to create many clear-cut chances but Leipzig have been the more clinical of the sides. They've dominated the ball too, but Kiel have looked dangerous at times on the counter-attack. The hosts had a little late flurry at the end of the half, so Marcel Rapp will hope this can continue into the second.

Back to winning ways?

Marco Rose will certainly hope so. His side has slipped from 2nd to 4th in recent weeks and are without a win in their last four games. A trip to an ailing Kiel side might be just what Leipzig need to get themselves back on track, but they should by no means underestimate Marcel Rapp's side.

More on those teams

Marco Rose makes two changes to his side that lost 5-1 at home to Wolfsburg last time out. Seiwald comes in for Lukeba, who isn't selected for today's game. Vermeeren replaces Kampl in the middle of the park, with the latter dropping to the bench. Marcel Rapp's side has seen four changes from their defeat at St. Pauli. Schulz replaces Erras, who is absent today with a concussion. Rosenboom is deployed down the right flank in place of Becker, who isn't selected today. Gigović and Machino also come in for Holtby and Arp, who drop to the bench.

Kiel starting XI:

Weiner (c) - Ivezić, Schulz, Geschwill - Knudsen - Rosenboom, Gigović, Remberg, Porath - Machino, Harres

Kiel subs:

Dähne, Javorček, Skrzybski, Holtby, Kelati, Puchacz, Pichler, Bernhardsson, Arp

Leipzig starting XI:

Gulácsi - Geertruida, Seiwald, Orbán (c), Henrichs - Haidara, Vermeeren - Baumgartner, Nusa - Šeško, Openda

Leipzig subs:

Zingerle, Vandevoordt, Klostermann, Schlager, Sakar, Jatta, Kampl, Gebel, Silva

Marco Rose on facing Kiel

"Kiel are tricky opponents. They're fighting to stay up and won't back down. They were up for it in their most recent game against St. Pauli. It will be a physical and aggressive match, but they are also skilled on the ball."

Marco Rose on Antonio Nusa

"Antonio Nusa is an exceptional player. He's a young lad that I really wanted to sign and he's living up to everything we saw in him." Nusa, along with teammate Assan Ouédraogo, has been chosen by Lionel Messi in a group of ten promising young players to wear the Argentine's newly developed F50 Triunfo Estelar Elite football boots.

Kiel: Erras, Becker ruled out

Rapp will have to do without the services of defensive duo Timo Becker (broken toe) and Patrick Erras (concussion) when Leipzig come calling, but can field either Lasse Rosenboom or Finn Porath for the former and Carl Johansson for the latter. However, the Swede is just over a knee complaint and unlikely to play all 90 minutes.

Marcel Rapp on facing Leipzig

"We need to get basics like running, battling and passion onto the pitch - along with output. We have to work to the limit. If we achieve that, we will take points. If not, then we won't."
