Full-time: Bayern 2-0 Cologne

The hosts take three points after second-half goals from Guerreiro and Müller put a hard-working Cologne to the sword. The Bavarians may have only delayed Leverkusen's title party but victory will buoy Thomas Tuchel's side ahead of their Champions League second-leg against Arsenal. For second-from-bottom Cologne, the relegation fight continues into another weekend.

Ulreich on the spot

Luca Waldschmidt's corner from the right causes enough problems in the Bayern area for Ulreich to come and fist clear.
87'

As things stand

Bayern are moving to within 13 points of runaway Bundesliga leaders Leverkusen, meaning the title cannot be decided today. Cologne are second from bottom, within four points of Bochum and Mainz, as things stand right now.
84'

Kane alert

Tel's shot zips wide but Kane stretched for that as it was on its way and almost got a touch which would surely have diverted the ball in.
82'

Goretzka goes close

Bayern's sub dinks a pass into the box but he's mis-hit that and the ball drops inches wide.
80'

Bayern swaps

Konrad Laimer and Leon Goretzka are on for the hosts as we head into the game's final 10 minutes.
78'

Ulreich comfortbale

Schmitz keeps Ulreich on his toes with a pop from distance. No problem for Manuel Neuer's understudy.
75'

Musiala off target

Müller picks out Musiala, who blasts over the top, not that the Bayern fans behind that goal care as they continue to bounce and sing.

Guerreiro man for firsts

All of Raphael Guerreiro's three Bundesliga goals this season have been scored at home and all have given Bayern the lead.
67'

Cologne changes

Coach Timo Schultz reacts to Cologne going behind by bringing Schmitz and Tigges on.

Guerriero special

Bayern lead and it's a wonder hit from Guerreiro that has the Allianz crowd on their feet. Kimmich's short corner to the edge of the box is collected by Guerriero, who takes a touch before zapping a wicked shot past the despairing Schwäbe and into the corner. Lovely goal.

The xGoals value of a club is calculated from the sum of all goal probabilities (goals and shots on goal) of that team. During a match, it’s easy to see whether the club is performing better than expected (goals > xGoals) - or maybe even higher (xGoals > goals).
The home supporters are doing their utmost to lift their team, with Bayern looking the likelier of the two sides to net the game's first goal right now.

Coman, Kimmich and Kane look to work a chance inside the Cologne area. Coman suddenly drops to the floor in pain. This doesn't look good for the French attacker. There was no challenge involved.

Bayern hit the post for the 20th time this season, Tel bending a shot from distance onto the outside of the upright.

Here come Cologne

More solid work from Finkgräfe wide on the left. His centre all the way across the area finds Alidou, who heads harmlessly wide. That was a solid chance for the visitors.

Kane again

Kane leaps to meet Kimmich's centre and flicks a header from a central position towards the far post. Schwäbe gets down to make an eye-catching, if comfortable stop.

Adamyan header

Finkgräfe pings one into the centre from the left and suddenly Adamyan is there all alone in the middle. The Cologne forward throws himself at the ball and connects with a header. Ulreich saves but the header was at a decent height for the stand-in keeper. Adamyan will be disappointed with himself.

Billy-Goats menacing

Alidou is again through but this time a little wider. His cross is hacked clear by De Ligt. The suspended Thomas Tuchel looks down from the stands in animated mood.

Tuchel's thoughts ahead of Cologne

"We've got several days between Cologne and Arsenal. But there's the consideration to throw in some other players and make some changes. If we make changes, then it's more to give players some match rhythm for Wednesday and not to rest anybody. I won't be watching the Leverkusen game on Sunday. I'll watch Arsenal."
camera-photo

Schultz's thoughts on Bayern

"Bayern are still Bayern. They are a team with incredible quality and will probably, for the first time in over 10 years, not be Bundesliga champions. Nevertheless, we're going to give our best to take something from the game."
