Fürth continues to press
Hrgota has a shot, the situation is unclear in the penalty area after several rebounds, however an offside was then called. It looks more likely that this game will turn 4-1 than 3-2.

Half-time: Fürth 1-1 Münster
The match is fairly level at 1-1 at half-time. Fürth were the better team from the start, but the visitors from Münster played bravely and grew into the game. They were able to cancel out Green's penalty with a great combination from star duo Grodowski and Batmaz.

How will Fürth respond?
The home side had eased off a bit before conceding the goal and are now coming forward again, while Münster continue to defend well.
41'
The equalizer!!!
Grodowski is sent wide and plays the ball low from the right towards the goal, where Batmaz runs onto it at the far post and smashes the ball high into the corner with his left foot! The dream duo from the third division can also do it one level higher!
34'
Unusual for Münster
In the entire last third division season, Preußen Münster had only conceded three penalties (the first of them on matchday 14); now on their return to the second division, they concede one on the very first matchday.

Missed!
Asta puts in a good cross from the right into the box, Massimo makes a run to the far post but goes down under slight contact and can't reach the ball.

Fürth sorting themselves out
The home side are finding it difficult against opponents defending well. Münster are lying in wait to counterattack.
15'
Great chance!
Mees is played behind the defence, runs towards goal and shoots with the inside of his foot past the left post. That could have been better, Münster are repeatedly finding gaps in the defence.

Srbeny misses
The home side are pressing, a pass from the left finds Srbeny in the middle but the striker cannot control it, he wanted to shoot straight away.
Good chance!

A long awaited return
Preußen Münster return to the Bundesliga 2 after just over 30 years away and will look to make up for lost time with an opening day victory against Greuther Fürth. The home side had a good season last year and the fans will be hopeful that they can build on their 8th place finish, although it won't be easy without star man Armindo Sieb this year.
