Full-time: Düsseldorf 3-4 Kaiserslautern

That's it! Klaus's late goal is little more than a consolation. It was a wild match in Düsseldorf, fitting for such a high-scoring matchday (38 goals in six matches so far), with the lead changing three times as seven goals were scored. Kaiserslautern's win wasn't one-way traffic (14:12 shots on goal for the hosts), but the visitors played cleverly and showed great stamina (covering almost two kilometres more than Fortuna).

Half-time: Düsseldorf 1-1 Kaiserslautern

The teams go in level Kaiserslautern took the lead against the run of play thanks to Hanslik, but Jóhannesson was able to equalise through a penalty. It's a very entertaining match, with Kaiserslautern holding their own very well. Fortuna is controlling the game (54% possession, 4-0 corners), but in terms of shots on goal, it's almost even (7-6). The away side are still dangerous, and the league leaders still have a tough task ahead of them.

More on those teams

Although Düsseldorf won 3-0 in Regensburg on the last matchday, there are four changes to the starting eleven compared to that match: Hoffmann, Haag, Niemiec and Myron van Brederode replace Quarshie, de Wijs, Appelkamp and Klaus for Fortuna. Compared to the victory against Paderborn, the visitors make only one change to the starting line-up. The ever-present Boris Tomiak returns to the team, relegating Filip Kaloc to the substitutes' bench.

Kaiserslautern starting XI

Krahl - Elvedi, Sirch, Heuer - Zimmer, Aremu, Tomiak, Kleinhansl - Yokota - Ache, Hanslik

Fortuna starting XI

Kastenmeier - Iyoha, Oberdorf, Hoffmann, Rossmann - Zimmermann, Haag - Niemiec, Jóhannesson, van Brederode - Kownacki

Thioune's view on the game

"We're delighted to be playing tomorrow evening. I believe we've earned it a bit - although in this balanced division, every match would deserve these conditions. I have great respect for Lautern and the way they play football. We want to measure ourselves against that. It's cool to be currently top of the table - and we want to continue defending that position."

Anfang's view on the game

"Düsseldorf can do many things well and play in different styles. But we have also shown that we can create our chances both with a lot of possession and from counter-attacking situations."
