Full-time: Münster 0-0 Ulm

Ulm were the better side for long stretches, but Schenk in the Preußen goal made several strong saves. Münster had some dangerous attacks on towards the end of the match, but they too failed to capitalise on their chances. In the end, the draw is a fair result - both sides were blunt.

information
xGoals
The xGoals value of a club is calculated from the sum of all goal probabilities (goals and shots on goal) of that team. During a match, it’s easy to see whether the club is performing better than expected (goals > xGoals) - or maybe even higher (xGoals > goals).
Based on the xGoals value, the Sparrows would certainly deserve to be leading at half-time.

Minute’s silence for victims of attack in Magdeburg

The DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga has recommended that teams wear black armbands and observe a minute’s silence for the remaining fixtures on Bundesliga Matchday 15 and Matchday 17 in Bundesliga 2 to remember the victims of Friday’s attack at the Christmas market in Magdeburg.

Thomas Wörle on facing Münster

"Of course, we know that this is an important match for us away to Münster, because they're a direct competitor. Every match is important, but this one is perhaps a bit more crucial, because it's not just about three points as in every match, but about keeping the opponent within striking distance - and possibly overtaking them if we can clinch a victory."

Sascha Hildmann on facing Ulm

"Ulm have a very good structure and they're well organised. We will need to be very patient and must not lose our nerve. Ulm wait for you to make a mistake, and we mustn't offer them any chances. We need to prepare our attacks."

Back to his roots

Lennart Stoll was born in Münster and transferred from Preußen to Ulm in 2018.

Brace scorer

Joel Grodowski scored his only brace in a 3-2 home victory against Ulm in last season's 3. Liga.

Record of the promoted teams

Münster and Ulm met for the first time in competitive matches last season in the 3rd division, where each side won their respective home fixture (3-2 for Preußen and 2-0 for SSV).
