Merlin Polzin on Hertha

"Our goal on Saturday and our own expectation is, of course, a victory in Berlin. It doesn't matter to us who we're playing against. For HSV and for our journey, it's important that we bring our style of football, which we want to represent us, onto the pitch and get the maximum three points out of it. We're extremely excited for the match and look forward to numerous HSV fans who will create a huge noise in the away section."

Christian Fiél on Hamburg

"HSV are very confident. Under Merlin Polzin, they are very flexible and haven't lost a match yet. You'll need to be very careful when defending against them. The stadium will be full - we're now in the new year, starting from 'zero' - and we want to do things differently than in the first half of the season."

Selke in focus

Davie Selke played 114 Bundesliga matches for Hertha BSC, scoring 19 goals. In the last five matches against his former club, the striker has found the back of the net five times.

A first for everything

In the Bundesliga, Hertha have celebrated more victories against no other team than they have against HSV (30 in 70 encounters), but in the Bundesliga 2, the Berliners have never won against the Red Shorts (one draw, two wins for HSV).
