Winding down
The match is decided and Elversberg is now playing it out routinely. It seems as if Berlin has accepted the defeat and is no longer really pushing forward with purpose.

Much effort - little reward
The Berlin team are now playing good football, but they're simply not rewarding themselves for their commitment. A disappointing day from Berlin's perspective!

Because Klemens conceded a free kick right on the edge of the penalty area, Şahin has a shooting opportunity from 17 metres. However, his attempt ends up in the Berlin wall.
73'
Sessa!
The new man for Berlin seems to have set himself a goal and immediately takes a shot from about 18 metres out. Kristof dives to the right and manages to save it!

Berlin can hope again!
Scherhant crosses from the left side to the far post, where Kenny cleverly controls the ball and lays it off to the better-positioned Cuisance, who strikes from the edge of the penalty area on the right and finds the bottom left corner! Is there still a chance for Hertha?
57'
Another yellow card
Demme has some space and drives the ball forward, but is then pushed from behind by Pinckert - yellow card!
56'
He must score that!
Scherhant receives the ball perfectly laid off at the edge of the penalty area and has a clear shot. At the last moment, Rohr throws himself in front of the ball and blocks the shot, causing it to fly over the crossbar!
52'
Damar with the decisive goal!
Elversberg switches play quickly after winning the ball, and Berlin can only watch. Schnellbacher slips the ball through to Damar, who runs clear on goal towards Ernst and calmly slots the ball into the right side of the net!
50'
Elversberg starts better
Instead of the expected onslaught from Berlin, it's almost exclusively Elversberg playing since the restart - curious!
46'
We're back underway!
Hertha kick off the second half and are now playing towards their own fans in the East Stand. Zeefuik has remained in the dressing room and Klemens is now on the pitch.

Half-time at the Olympic Stadium
Hertha are lacking ideas against composed Elversberg! The visitors are doing well and currently lead deservedly thanks to goals from Şahin and Schnellbacher.

Two minutes added on.
44'
Nearly a goal back!
Zeefuik has plenty of space on the left and delivers a dangerous cross in front of goal, which Rohr nearly turns into his own net! Kristof prevents the own goal with a strong save with his feet!
42'
Third yellow card for Elversberg
Fellhauer crudely takes out Maza at the touchline and is rightly booked!
39'
Schnellbacher misses out
During a counter-attack, Damar tries to thread a pass through to his striker on the left side of the penalty area, but the pass is too sharp and goes out of play. There was more potential in that!
35'
Lucky escape for Baum!
On the left wing, Baum brings down the breaking-through Scherhant with a sliding tackle just centimetres outside the penalty area - Yellow card!
33'
Lacking ideas!
The Berlin side appear clueless about how to break down Elversberg's defensive block. There's no way through!
30'
Elversberg increase their lead!
Dárdai unintentionally flicks on a long ball directly into the path of Schnellbacher, who then has a clear run and chips the ball over the onrushing Ernst. Brilliant goal from Schnellbacher!
27'
Şahin!
The goalscorer is brimming with confidence and takes a shot from distance, about 20 metres out. Ernst gets his arms up and tips the leather over the crossbar!
23'
Maza drives forward
The diminutive dribbler is currently driving Berlin's attacking play and distributing the ball around the Elversberg penalty area. The final pass is currently lacking.
21'
Second yellow card in the match!
Damar now also sees yellow for a similar foul to Dárdai's shortly before.
18'
Good start
The visitors are playing an excellent away game so far and are not letting much slip. The ball is moving well for the Saarland team, even though there hasn't been any real attacking action since the penalty goal.
17'
Counter-attack thwarted!
Dárdai has to stop Schnellbacher with a kick to the foot at the halfway line to prevent an Elversberg counter-attack.
14'
Scherhant involved again
Scherhant comes into the penalty area from the left side and plays the ball sharply across the face of goal. Pinckert manages to clear in front of the ready-to-shoot Thorsteinsson!
11'
Hertha showing effort
The early deficit was a blow for the Berliners. Nevertheless, in the last few minutes, they are trying hard to seize control of the match and shift the play into Elversberg's half.

Scherhant!
The left winger receives the ball on the flank, cuts inside and attempts a curling shot towards the far corner. However, Kristof anticipates it and manages to save the shot. Scherhant seems eager to make amends for his mistake and is causing quite a stir at the moment!
4'
It goes in with a lot of luck!
Şahin takes the penalty hard and placed into the left corner! He's lucky though, as Ernst got his fingertips to it and the ball then goes in off the inside of the post!
2'
Penalty for Elversberg!
Scherhant clips Baum's heels in the penalty area and brings him down - penalty!
1'
The ball is rolling!

One change for the Berlin side
After the 2-0 victory in Nuremberg, there's no need for major changes. Only the Icelander Thorsteinsson starts today on the right wing in place of Winkler.

What Cristian Fiél says
"Elversberg have good routines in defence and attack. They've picked up points against teams that are up there, for example, they also scored two goals against Karlsruhe and are excellent at counter-pressing."
What Horst Steffen says
"The disappointment after the match against Ulm was felt by all of us. There were several points that we had done better in the past, and we highlighted these to the lads again – and now we're looking towards Berlin. On Sunday, we have the opportunity to improve a few things; the pressing, the defensive cover, but also our attacking play."
