WITSELS GOAL KEEPS DORTMUND SIX CLEAR!

In a tight and nervy game, one moment of magic was enough to separate these two teams with Axel Witsel's thunderbolt sending Dortmund six points clear of Bayern Munich once again as the Bundesliga title race continues to keep us on edge.

BACK UNDERWAY

The second half is underway in Leipzig without a change for either side.

CUNHA HITS THE SIDE-NETTING!

Increidble moment as Alcacer breaks away on goal but is caught by Kampl before he can reach the goal. Leipzig go directly up the other end, and Poulsen's cross is met by Cunha and headed into the side-netting of Bürki's goal.

ALCACER HITS THE CROSSBAR!

A counter from Dortmund sees Pulisic with the ball in a 3-on-2 and he finds Alcacer with a lovely through-ball into the box. The Spaniard hits the ball first-time on the stretch, but his effort bounces down and out off the crossbar having looped over Gulacsi. And now we're into three minutes of added time.
83'

PULISIC AND SANCHO COMBINE

The young American finds the young Englishman in space on the right corner of the box. He's closed down quickly by Sabitzer, but works space to get past him, only for Sabitzer to fight back and clear the ball from his feet.
77'

WERNER'S TURN TO BE DENIED!

Timo is sent in on goal down the right wing and shoots at goal from the tight angle. Once again, though, Bürki is equal to it and makes a solid save at his near post.
75'

BÜRKI KEEPS LEIPZIG AHEAD!

A superb save from the Swiss goalkeeper has kept Dortmund in front. Timo Werner squared a ball to Sabitzer with the Austrian alone in front of goal. He went for goal first-time, but Bürki saved with his legs superbly.
73'

LEIPZIG BRINGING PRESSURE

It's been all Leipzig in the last five minutes, with constant possession inside the Dortmund box. Sabitzer has a shot from the right corner of the box which curls wide, but it's there for the taking for the home side.
68'

UPAMECANO NOW SUSPENDED

The Frenchman is booked after bringing down Philipp just outside the box and will miss Leipzig's next game, an away trip to Fortuna Düsseldorf.

END-TO-END IN LEIPZIG!

The game has a beating heart and it is pumping at full volume right now. Bürki fumbles a ball and is helped out by his defenders to clear the ball away, while at the other end, Jadon Sancho is seeing a lot of the ball and causing a few problems for his markers. The ball and everyone on the pitch is moving at full speed in this second half.
53'

PHILIPP BLOWS A ONE-ON-ONE!

In the end it's a superb save from Gulacsi in the Leipzig goal as Philipp breaks through on goal. He has Sancho far to his right, but goes for goal alone and is only denied by the foot of Gulacsi.
48'

WHAT A CHANCE FOR SABITZER!

Konate reaches the by-line and cuts the ball back into the box for Sabitzer. He collects the ball inside the six-yard box in front of Bürki, but can't get the right angle to shoot at goal. Instead he hits the ball and with a deflection it bounces out for Dortmund to eventually clear.

WITSEL THE DIFFERENCE-MAKER!

At both ends of the pitch, Axel Witsel has proved to be the difference maker so far this evening. His thunderous strike 19 minutes giving the lead before the Belgian continued to produce an outstanding midfield performance. Leipzig have looked threatening, though, but Bürki remains untested in the Dortmund goal. Let's see if it stays that way...
41'

DIALLO GOES INCHES WIDE!

A perfect set-piece from Guerreiro finds the head of Diallo alone in the box and he guides his header towards goal, but not well enough, and the ball drifts just wide.
34'

LAIMER'S SHOT BLOCKED!

That's the closes Leipzig have come so far as the ball falls to Laimer in the box with Werner in the same area. The midfielder shoots at goal, but it's blocked away by the Dortmund defence. Leipzig have suddenly come alive with their pressing and extreme work-rate in attack.
29'

DORTMUND IN CONTROL

While Leipzig are enjoying a decent amount of the possession so far, the league leaders remain in control here at the Red Bull Arena. Witsel's goal a nice reward for a good start from Lucien Favre's side. Bürki has yet to be truly tested so far, but the time will surely come for him to make his mark.

WITSEL GIVES DORTMUND THE LEAD!

A corner for the away side bounces off Piszczek's head and falls to Witsel at the back post. The Belgian controls and duly laces it home into the farm top corner off the crossbar. A superb strike!

BOTH DEFENCES PROVING THEIR WORTH!

The two best defences in the league this season are showing exactly why that's the case. Despite Dortmund's not being at full strength, it's been a quiet first quarter for Timo Werner and Yussuf Poulsen. While at the other end, Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate are standing tall against a Reus-less BVB attack.

BÜRKI MAKES HIS FIRST SAVE...

A simple save for Bürki in the Dortmund goal after former BVB man Kampl took aim from distance.

GULACSI TESTED EARLY

Guerreiro finds Witsel in the box and the Belgian is able to stretch to the ball and get a shot away on goal, but it flies safely into the hands of Gulacsi in the Leipzig goal.

HERE WE GO!

We're underway in Leipzig for this mouth-watering Saturday evening battle.
Kick-off!

THE PLAYERS ARE OUT!

Both teams are out on the pitch and ready for what promises to be a special battle.

HUGE GAME FOR BOTH PARTIES...

With Borussia Mönchengladbach's win earlier in the day, the gap between them and Leipzig is now at five points, and the home side tonight will certainly want to change that as soon as possible. For Dortmund, Bayern are breathing heavily down their necks after a good win at Hoffenheim on Friday night. Three points is all that separates the two sides now, but Dortmund could be nine points ahead by the time Bayern next play.

NO REUS FOR DORTMUND!

After falling injured in training yesterday, Marco Reus has been rested due to a troubled ankle. Some short good news is that Reus has indeed travelled to Leipzig, meaning that the injury can not have been too serious. His replacement in the line-up is Maximillian Philipp, who is expected to line up as the number 10 for BVB.

DORTMUND:

Bürki – Piszczek (c), Weigl, Diallo, Hakimi – Witsel, Delaney – Sancho, Philipp, Guerreiro – Götze

LEIPZIG:

Gulacsi – Klostermann, Konate, Upamecano, Halstenberg – Laimer, Demme, Kampl (c) – Sabitzer, Poulsen, Werner

TEAM NEWS IS IN...
