GNABRY ALMOST MAKES IT FOUR

A mix-up in defence as Zieler goes to gather a cross, but the ball bounces between him and Kempf and falls straight to Gnabry. He's at a tight angle to find the back of the net, and in the end shoots wide of the target.

ALABA'S CRACKER FORCES A SAVE!

We're used to seeing the Austrian scoring long-range stunners and he almost produced another there, but Zieler was positioned well to make a diving save from Alaba's 35-yard strike.
75'

HUMMELS ON THE SWIVEL!

Lovely footwork from the centre-back as he controls a loose ball in the box from a corner and turns 360 degrees past a defender to open up a shot at goal. His effort is blocked, though, much to his frustration.
71'

AND IT'S THREE FOR BAYERN!

A free header from a corner for Bayern and Goretzka is on hand to head home the chance, beating Kabak to the ball to make it a two-goal lead for Bayern.

LEWANDOWSKI CLOSE AGAIN!

Alaba beats his man down the touchline to enter the box and hits the ball to the near post where Lewandowski is waiting, but he's challenged well by the Stuttgart defence and his effort goes wide at the near post.

He sends Zieler the wrong way, but Lewandowski's penalty bounces back out off the post!
65'

PENALTY BAYERN!

Kempf brings down Lewandowski in the box and a penalty is given to Bayern.
63'

GONZALEZ HITS THE POST!

What a chance for Stuttgart as Gonzalez is within inches of having Stuttgart level. His initial shot is blocked but the ball bounces back to him and off him again, but then back onto the post...
57'

LEWANDOWSKI NOT FAR AWAY!

The Polish striker is disappointed with himself as he sends a shot high and wide of goal from the edge of the Stuttgart box.
55'

GNABRY HAS BAYERN AHEAD!

A real scramble in the box after Müller is brought down by Zieler, but play continues. The ball goes wide to Coman and he dinks it back into the box. The ball is then hit loose by the Stuttgart defence and drops to Gnabry, who smashes a shot at goal, which deflects off Gentner and into the top corner. The goal has been awarded as an own-goal by Gentner.

GNABRY SHOOTS WIDE

Good opening from the right wing as Gnabry gets on the wrong side of Insua to shoot on his left foot, but his curling effort doesn't have enough curl, in the end, and drifts wide of goal.

ALL BAYERN TO START

The hosts have dominated these opening minutes, controlling the ball and dictating all the play so far. Can they make their pressure count?

A DONIS IN MUNICH

Anastasios Donis has now had a hand in three goals in two away games against Bayern Munich. He's scored two of his five career Bundesliga goals against the record Bundesliga champions, and has his side level at the break here.
44'

COMAN HITS THE SIDE-NETTING!

Lovely flick into the box from Müller finds Coman in front of goal. A touch to compose himself and he shoots at goal, but hits the wrong side of the netting and Stuttgart survive.
37'

ZIELER SAVES FROM COMAN

The Frenchman dances his way into the box with a lovely chop past the defender and immediately shoots at goal, but Zieler tips it over the bar.
35'

MARTINEZ CHANCE!

Coman's cross to the back post is a teaser for anyone tall enough to reach it, and Javi Martinez does just that. He rises high to head down towards goal, but he misses the target and Gentner clears from inside the six-yard box.
34'

DONIS SO CLOSE TO A LEAD!

Stuttgart are inches within a 2-1 lead here in Munich. A cross from the left flank beats the near post of Bayern's box and finds Donis in the middle of the six-yard box ahead of Kimmich. He meets the ball to volley at goal, but Neuer is perfectly placed to save the day for Bayern.
33'

THIAGO FORCES A BIG SAVE!

A corner is cleared, but only as far as the edge of the box where Thiago is waiting to pounce. He smashes a volley low towards goal, but it's straight at Zieler who makes the initial save. Stuttgart then clear ahead of the Bayern attack.
26'

WHAT A GOAL FROM DONIS!

The Greek has done it again. He scored against Bayern at the Allianz last year and produces magic here. Gentner sends a long ball forward which Donis brings down in front of Thiago. He has time and space ahead of him and shoots from 25 yards out, curling the ball past a diving Neuer and into the top corner.

BIG CHANCE FOR GONZALEZ

Esswein does well to bring the ball into the box from the right wing, and dinks the ball into the box with three Stuttgart players waiting. The first ball is defended, but drops to Gonzalez, who volleys at goal only to hit the ball wide of Neuer's net.
15'

STUTTGART NOT JUST SITTING BACK

Manuel Neuer has had work to do on a number of occasions already in the opening quarter of this game. Albeit not the hardest work of his career, gathering crosses from the Stuttgart wingers, but it's been a sign of the away side's intent to not just sit back today.
8'

KIMMICH GOES CLOSE!

Alaba's long ball finds Müller at the back post and he sets the ball perfectly for the oncoming Kimmich to strike at goal. His shot is dragged narrowly past Zieler's goal, though.
5'

BAYERN INTO AN EARLY LEAD!

They've started like men on a mission, and take the lead early. Coman puts the ball into the box and Müller is able to control at the near post following Zieler's block. He puts the ball into the mixer again, where Lewandowski's touch is loose, but falls straight to Thiago who smashes home in style.
