STUNNING BLOCK FROM RUSS

Maxi Eggestein is about to pull the trigger from the edge of the box but Marco Russ pulls off an incredible sliding block to deny him a winner and his brace.

THIS GAME IS DEFINING END-TO-END!

Frankfurt go on the counter with Gacinovic racing up the pitch, but the Serbian's pass at the edge of the box is intercepted and the home side go up the other end. Kruse can't find Sargent with a pass at the edge of the Frankfurt box, but the Eagles are also able to clear.

KLAASSEN'S SHOT DEFLECTED

The Dutchman's effort from the edge of the box is heading for goal, but is blocked behind for a corner which the away side can clear. Still time for someone to win this one...
81'

A WINNER ON THE WAY?

If it's going to come from any side, at the moment, it looks like it'll be Bremen. The home side aren't in total control of the ball but they certainly look most threatening going forward. Still, any moment of brilliance or madness can change this game.

HALLER WITH HIS 11TH GOAL OF THE SEASON

The Frenchman scores his third penalty of the season, sending Pavlenka the wrong way to bring the game level.

PENALTY FRANKFURT!

Handball from Augustinsson in the box and Frankfurt have a chance from the spot.

FRANKFURT YET TO PRODUCE A SHOT

Twenty minutes into the second half and the Eagles have yet to produce a shot on goal, while Werder Bremen have scored one of their three shots on target already in this second half.

KRUSE FORCES A TREMENDOUS TRAPP SAVE

Maxi Eggestein does incredibly well to win the ball in midfield and send Kruse in on goal. He has a defender breathing down his neck and decides to go for the chip over Trapp, but the German international backsteps enough to tip the ball over the bar.
53'

WHAT A FINISH FROM HARNIK!

He fought and he fought, and then he produced some sizzle to add to his strength. A superb pass from Kruse plays Harnik in on goal with Falette battling at his feet. He almost goes down under a challenge, but stays up, pokes the ball around Trapp one way and runs around the other before smashing home.

BREMEN FINDING THEIR FLOW EARLY

Trapp is forced into an early save from a header by M. Eggestein after a nice move from Bremen. The home side have been the better of the two sides in these early stages of the second half.

TWO STUNNING GOALS LEAVE US LEVEL

First Maxi Eggestein left us stunned, and then Ante Rebic proved that his showstopping strike last weekend wasn't a fluke. It's been a superbly entertaining first half with both sides giving everything so far. Surely there are more goals to come here, and hopefully more of the same quality.
42'

BIG CHANCE FOR WERDER!

A four-on-three counter comes to life for the home side with Klaassen on the ball. The Dutchman finds J. Eggestein with space ahead of him, and he has one thing on his mind, but his shot is saved at his near post by Trapp. Kruse is furious with the youngster as he was stood all alone in the middle of the Frankfurt box.
39'

OFF THE POST!

Maxi Eggestein almost has his brace as he collects the ball in the middle of the pitch, 25 yards from goal and takes aim. His shot bounces back out off the post and Frankfurt can clear!
38'

LANGKAMP UNABLE TO CONTINUE

The defender has had to go off after taking that blow to the head earlier in the game, and he's replaced by Milos Veljkovic.
35'

DIFFERENT WEEK, SAME REBIC!

It's a carbon copy of his stunner in Frankfurt's win over Freiburg last week. He cuts onto his left foot on the edge of the box past Moisander's attempted block and curls a perfect shot on his left foot into the top corner. Sublime finish.

KRUSE COULD'VE MADE IT TWO!

Bremen win the ball on the right side of Frankfurt's half and immediately send it inside to a wide open Kruse, but his first-time strike at goal can only sting the hands of Trapp.
27'

MAGIC FROM MAX!

What a superb solo goal from Maximilian Eggestein. He receives the ball on the edge of the box with four defenders around him. His back gets turned to goal, and so Eggestein improvises with a wonderful pivot to break free on goal before finishing past Trapp.
22'

LANGKAMP DOWN WITH A CUT TO THE HEAD

After a clash of heads with Haller, Langkamp is down and getting treatment with some blood visible from a cut to his head.
18'

HALLER GOES WITHIN INCHES!

If there's any player you'd expect to score with a header from point-blank range, it's Sebastien Haller. But, alas, he can't produce the goods. A set-piece is swung into the box from the left wing and Haller beats the offside trap before heading inches past Pavlenka's near post.
12'

SAVED ON THE LINE BY TRAPP!

Kevin Trapp is thanking his lucky stars that he's in the right place at the right time there. The ball goes to the back post of his goal and his headed back into the middle by Langkamp. Harnik is the one to have an effort on goal, which deflects off Hasebe and is goal-bound if not for Trapp being perfectly placed to grab the ball out of the air.
10'

JOVIC WITH ACROBATICS!

An outstanding effort from the Serbian who goes for an overhead kick from the edge of the box. The ball goes straight at Pavlenka, but the trajectory of it forces him to parry the ball away in a fright.
6'

HARNIK GOES CLOSE!

First chance of the game comes to the home side with Harnik played in on goal with time and space around him. His speed lets him down and the defence catches up to force a block and only allow Werder a corner. The resulting corner is then cleared off the line by Trapp after a Langkamp header.

FRANKFURT STARTING WELL HERE

The Eagles have enjoyed most of the possession so far, but it's still the early stages of course...

CAN FRANKFURTS DEADLY TRIO PRODUCE AGAIN?

Sebastien Haller, Luka Jovic and Ante Rebic have combined for 55 goals already this season in all competitions. Haller has contributed to 24 on his own in what has been an utterly stupendous campaign so far for the Eagles. Can they continue it on the road against Werder, though? Trapp – Abraham (c), Hasebe, Falette – Da Costa, Rode, De Guzman, Kostic – Rebic – Haller, Jovic
