A whisker away!

Bayer have hit the ground running in the second half as Volland comes within a stud's width of getting to Bailey's devilish delivery. Bosz looks to have pumped up the confidence levels at half-time.

So close!

Bayern almost reduce the arrears, but Lewandowski can only glance his header wide from Kimmich's free-kick.

Bayern have a shot ion target!

Their first of the second half as Gnabry stings the palms of Hradecky from range. It was going to take something special to score from there and that wasn't it.

AlariooOOOOOO!

Leverkusen are in dreamland as they extend their lead with a slick counter. Brandt was slipped through on goal and is smart enough to pick out Alario, who pokes home into an empty net with Ulreich hamstrung. VAR jumps in to look at a possible offside... but the goal STANDS!

GOAL!

Curtain call?

Bayern have five minutes to avoid their fourth defeat of the season, but they're still yet to have a shot on target in the second half.
79'

A first?

Peter Bosz suffered two 3-1 defeats at the hands of Bayern when he was head coach of Dortmund, but he's on course to help his former side move further clear at the Bundesliga summit right now.

Substitution

77'

Big chance!

Kimmich whips in a dangerous free-kick, which is met by the head of Lewandowski. The Pole heads wide though.
76'

Hradecky keeping himself busy

Leverkusen keeper Lukas Hradecky hasn't had to make a save in the second half, but can regularly be seen punching balls clear as the hosts continue to withstand the pressure.
73'

Hint of a handball?

Definitely not. Lewandowski picks out James at the back post, who sees his header blocked by Weiser. It came off the Leverkusen right back's head not arm though.
69'

One-way traffic

Having fallen behind, the onus is on Bayern to push forward, which they are doing with purpose, albeit no end product so far. Can Leverkusen batten down the hatches and withstand the pressure or are Bayern going to drop points for a seventh time this season?
65'

Good omen for the hosts

Leverkusen have won the last seven Bundesliga matches in which Kevin Volland has scored, including all five this season. The last time Bayer lost a game in which he netted? A 3-1 loss to Bayern in January 2018.
64'

Bish, bash, Bosz!

The comeback is complete as Leverkusen come froma  goal down to take a 2-1 lead through Volland. After good work out wide, Bellarabi provides the assist, but it's a cool and compsed finish from their talismanic striker.

Edge of the seat!

Just over an hour played and this game is on a knife's edge. It's making for breath-taking viewing so if you're not tuned in, get involved!
61'

Tipped wide!

Leverkusen send a cross into the box, which is headed clear only as afar as Brandt. The youngster sets his sights, but after smashing his effort into the groud, sees Ulreich get fingertips to put it behind or a corner.
58'

Fun fact!

The last Leverkusen player to score a direct free-kick? Wendell vs Borussia Dortmund in March 2017.
56'

Ending the drought

I still can't quite get over how brilliant that free-kick was from Bailey, but it's his first Bundesliga goal since September 1. It was also LEverkusen's first shot on target of the game.
53'

We are level in Leverkusen!

Right out of the top drawer from Leon Bailey. Leverkusen get a free-kick 25 yards out and, despite having a bad game this afternoon, the Jamaican has the confidence and composure to curl a powerful effort over the ball and beyond Sven Ulreich. Stunning!
53'

Leon Bailey

GOAL!

1:1
Leon Bailey
50'

Too selfish?

Leverkusen are doing a lot of things right, but keep letting themselves down with the final pass and becoming too individualistic as Bellarabi cuts across goal only to see his shot blocked.
47'

A whisker away!

Great start to the second half from Leverkusen as Volland comes within a stud's width of converting Bailey's cross. Bosz has pumped up the confidence levels at the break.

Bayern double up... not!

Robert Lewandowski is slipped through by Kingsley Coman to double Bayern's lead... but the goal is chalked off for offside. That was a really tight call.
45'

King (of) Leon!

Of Leon Goertzka's 20 Bundesliga goals, 10 of them have opened the scoring in games, which is a particularly impressive statistic. Even more impressive is that his six goals this season are a personal best with 14 games left to play.
45'

Topsy-turvy first half

For 39 minutes, Leverkusen held their own against Bayern are posed a genuine threat going forward. Five nightmarish minutes before the break have undone all their hard work though. Goretzka's goal stood, while Lewandowski's didn't, but the loss of Kai Havertz will be a real concern.
45'

Havertz off!

As if conceding on the cusp of half-time wasn't bad enough, Leverkusen have now lost Kai Havertz to injury after an innocuous clash in midfield. Can  Die Werkself  stage a comeback without their main man?
43'

Brandt blocked!

Leverkusen are looking a little shell shocked since conceding. Julian Brandt does well to weave his way across the box, but sees his shot blocked.
41'

GOAL-retzka strikes again!

Leverkusen's bravery proves costly. The home side fail to get men back with Bayern breaking and when Müller floats the ball into the danger area, Goretzka ghosts between two markers to plant a firm header beyond Hradecky. What a blow for Bayer before half-time as Leon moves onto four goals in three games in 2019!

Leon Goretzka
40'

Time winding down

Not long left to go in the first-half. I'm not sure many pre-match predictions would have had Leverkusen edging the opening 45 minutes, but that's what they've done.
32'

Hairy moment!

Coman chances his arm from range as he curls a shot towards the far post, which Hradecky somehow lets slip through his fingers for a corner. Fortunately Bayern can't threaten from the set-piece.
29'

Not a bad effort!

Leverkusen are pick up a free-kick in a promising position after James clips Weiser. Leon Bailey is the only player standing over the ball, but sees his effort sail just over.
26'

What a chance!

Bayern should be in front and, funnily enough, it was Goretzka with the chance. James Rodriguez flits into a pocket of space in the box, squares to Goretzka who can't hit the target with a first-time effort from 10 yards.
22'

Taking a breather?

After a fast-paced, frantic start to proceedings in which both teams were creating chances freely, the pace of the game has waned since the 20th minute. Peter Bosz will be very happy with what he's seen from his side so far.
21'

Weiser to the fore

Mitchell Weiser has been involved in 12 challenges so far this game, but has only won four of them. A lot is being asked of him at both end sof the pitch.
16'

Injury concern

Sven Bender looks to have picked up a knock in the melee with Müller and Lewandowski. He's clutching his shoulder, but has entered the field of play again. Bayer are alreay one Bender twin short, they'd rather not lose a second.
15'

Behave Coman!

Coman is giving former Bayern winger Weiser a real headache and looks to have the beating of him out wide. The Frenchman gets to the byline, but after delivering the ball into the box, neither Müller, nor Lewandowski can get a shot off.
14'

Chance for Bayern!

Coman wins a foot race with Tah to break in behind Leverkusen's backline, but fails to put his shot either side of Hradecky.
12'

Brandt wide!

Leverkusen are really taking it to Bayern. A foray forward sees the ball pop loose to the edge of the area where Brandt smashes wide on the volley. He didn't connect cleanly with that shot.
7'

Bayern push forward

Bayern threaten for the first time as Kingsley Coman gets in behind Mitchell Weser to earn a corner... which comes to nothing.
6'

Brave from Bayer

Bayern are being put under a lot of pressure with Leverkusen pressing incredibly high up the pitch. It's a courageous start for the hosts, b ut can they sustain it over the course of 90 minutes?
3'

Penalty shout!

A blistering start to proceedings from Leverkusen sees them almost catch Bayern out at the back. Mats Hummels errant pass is picked off and makes it way to Kevin Volland, who shot canons off Hummels' arm. No penalty.
