FOUR MINUTES ADDED ON

Bremen scored in the 96th minute last week, so know the value of pushing through to the very end. This one's not over yet!
89'

LATE TWIST?

We're into the final minute of action now and although Bremen look the more likely side to score, Stuttgart are holding firm at the back.
82'

STICK OR TWIST FOR STUTTGART?

VfB coach Weinzierl seems to be sticking, eager to proctect the point his side have by taking off goalscorer Zuber and bringing on an extra defender in Badstuber.
79'

STUNNING SAVE FROM ZIELER!

Raschica bends in a corner from the right and finds Gebre Selassie unmarked. He heads it goalwards and Zieler makes a brilliant reflex save to keep it out. The rebound falls at the feet of Langkamp about a yard away from goal, but he's leaning backwards as he tries to shoot and it goes over.
75'

BREMEN PUSHING

Kruse curls in a delightful in-swinging corner from the right. It bounces inside the six-yard box and there are a handful of Bremen players around, but none of them are able to get a touch and prod it over the line.
71'

BREMEN GO CLOSE!

Raschica scampers into the box from the right and drills a low ball across the six-yard box. Pizarro can't quite get to it, but it rolls through to Kruse and the far post. He's shot is well saved by Zieler, and Stuttgart hack the rebound clear before Klaassen can pounce.
66'

ANOTHER FREE-KICK FOR BREMEN

Rashica turns Kabak again, and again he gets fouled. Augustinsson whips in the free-kick from the left, which is cleared to the edge of the box, where Klaassen is lurking. His ambitious effort on the half-volley flies well over, though.
60'

PIZZA TIME!

Sargent's evening is over and on comes the Bundesliga's all-time oldest scorer ever, Claudio Pizarro, who snatched a 1-1 draw with the last kick of the game against Hertha Berlin last week at the age of 40 years, 136 days.
59'

DONIS ON FOR GOMEZ

It hasn't been Gomez's day today. The veteran forward took up some excellent positions and could have had a couple of goals, but head coach Weinzierl has injected some pace up front in the form of Donis, who will look to stretch the hosts on the counter.
57'

FREE-KICK FOR BREMEN

Rashica spins Kabak with a beautiful turn in midfield, before sprinting away from him towards the Stuttgart penalty area. Kabak shows his frustration and brings him down just outside the box. Rashica takes the free-kick himself, but doesn't catch it well and the ball balloons well over the bar.
51'

GOMEZ THWARTED AGAIN

Gentner slides a brilliant pass through the Bremen defence into the path of Gomez. His first touch is slightly heavy and he doesn't quite have the pace to catch up with it again before Pavlenka is off his line to smother the danger.
48'

KRUSE FIRES OVER

Bremen have been on top this half and moments after Gebre Selassie delivers a dangerous ball into the box from the right, a loose ball is picked up by Kruse. He powers forward and tries his luck from distance, but it's on his weaker right foot and is always rising, so doesn't trouble Zieler in the Stuttgart goal.

STUNNER FROM KLAASSEN!

This will be crushing for Stuttgart, as Bremen equalise on the stroke of half-time. Receiving a ball from Kruse on the edge of the box, he turns his marker and smacks an unstoppable shot into the top corner. 1-1 it is!
45'

ALL SQUARE AT THE BREAK

Stuttgart will be frustrated after creating the better chances and defending well throughout the first half, but Klaassen's wonderstrike means the teams are level at half-time.

GOMEZ DENIED!

Kabak sprints forward with the ball after another Bremen attack breaks down. His pace takes hiim past a couple of defenders before he plays a pass into the path of Gomez. Kabak's run draws a defender, giving Gomez a chance to shoot, but Pavlenka comes up with a huge save to keep the hosts in the game.
40'

STUTTGART RESOLUTE

Klaassen launches an attack, driving forward from midfield. He gets to the edge of the Stuttgart box and plays the ball out to the left to Augustinsson, who whips a cross towards the back post, looking for Kruse. It's a teasing ball in, but a Stuttgart defender gets there first and clears the danger.
33'

RASHICA AGAIN!

Perhaps frustrated at his earlier miss, Rashica skips inside from the left wing and lets fly with a shot from 20 yards out. It's well hit, but bounces narrowly wide of the near post.
31'

CHANCE FOR RASHICA!

A cross into the Stuttgart box from the left comes to Eggestein. His attempted shot is blocked, but the rebound falls at the feet of Rashica. He's about 10 yards out, but takes one touch too many to settle himself and ends up snatching at his shot before a defender arrives, and it's ultimately deflected over for a corner.
27'

HOSTS CUAGHT NAPPING

Zuber's goal, socred just inside the second minute of the game, was the quickest goal Bremen have conceded this season.
25'

ANOTHER CHANCE FOR STUTTGART

The visitors find a gap in the Bremen defence once again as a ball into the box falls to Gomez, whose flick is met by Zuber, but he can't make a clean connection on his shot and Bremen survive.
19'

KRUSE WANTS A PENALTY

The ball comes to Kruse in the Stuttgart box. He's got his back to goal and Beck behind him and he goes to ground as he tries to roll his body past the defender. He appeals to the referee for a penalty, but play continues and Stuttgart clear.
15'

JUST WIDE FROM RASHICA

All of a sudden, Bremen do have a shot! Some nice footwork from Rashica gives him half a yard of space inside the penalty area, but he drags his effort from the left just wide of the far post.
14'

STUTTGART DANGEROUS

Bremen may be seeing more of the ball, but Stuttgart are looking the more menacing of the two sides in the final third. They're breaking forward at pace, with Zuber and Esswein pulling the home defence apart. The former is able to fashion another shot on goal from the edge of the box, but he curls it well wide of the post. Bremen are yet to have a shot in this game.
9'

GLORIOUS CHANCE FOR GOMEZ!

Sahin gives the ball away in midfield as Gomez nicks the ball off his toe. The striker's momentum takes him clear and even though he's not as quick as he used to be, Gomez still makes it into the box ahead of Langkamp. He should shoot, but can't quite get his feet sorted - he's on his weaker left foot - and Pavlenka comes out to block.
5'

ONUS ON WERDER

The hosts look a tad stunned after going behind so eary on, but are trying to play their way back into things, keeping the ball well in midfield. Stuttgart are dropping deep though, making it hard for Bremen to find any room to work in.

DREAM START FOR STUTTGART!

GOmez flicks on Kabak's long ball forward and suddenly Zuber is through on goal. His pace takes him free of two covering defenders and he slots in coolly past Pavlenka!

HANDSHAKES

The pre-match formalities are under way, we're almost ready at the Weser-Stadion.

ALMOST TIME!

The teams are in the tunnel, just awaiting the referee's signal to emerge out onto the pitch.

ADVANTAGE BREMEN?

The visitors have struggled for form this season and come into the game in 15th place, three points adrift of a non-relegation place. They haven't won in Bremen since September 2006 though, while the hosts are almost guaranteed to score: they're one of only three teams in Europe's top five leagues to have found the net in every match this season (Juventus and PSG are the other two).

BREMEN TO DROP THE M-BOM?

Bremen have included midfielder Jean-Manuel Mbom, who only turns 19 on Sunday, in a matchday squad for the first time ever. He has already made 14 appearances for the reserves this season.

NO CHANGES FOR STUTTGART

Stuttgart have kept an unchanged side for the first time this season, with new head coach Markus Weinzierl happy with the improved display against RB Leipzig last week, even if the game ended in a 3-1 defeat. That means Mario Gomez leading the attack, with fellow forward Nicolas Gonzales still suspended.

FIRST START FOR SARGENT

The big news in the home camp is a maiden outing in the first XI for 19-year-old USA international striker Josh Sargent. He's scored twice in 235 minutes of action so far, spread across eight substitute appearances. He slots in up front alongside captain Max Kruse, taking the place of Johannes Eggestein
