HARNIK SHOULD DO BETTER!
The substitute has a free header in the box as he rises to meet a floating cross into the box which almost seemed to be moving in slow-motion. But his header is inches wide of Nübel's goal.

SANE GOES UP FRONT
The big, tall centre-back has replaced Caligiuri and will play in attack for the final few minutes. A great option to have at this time.

GAME ON?
Embolo completes his brace and we have an interesting end of this game to come in the final five minutes. The corner comes in from Oczipka and Embolo is alone in the middle of the box to head into the net beyond Pavlenka's hands.

HUGE SAVE FROM NÜBEL
A great bit of play from the home side as a pass is played into the box and dummied by Rashica as it follows through to Kruse. He'a all alone in front of goal, with Harnik next to him, but decides to shoot. Nübel, though, stands tall and parries away.

RASHICA AT THE DOUBLE!
What a cool, cool goal from Bremen as Rashica shows he has ice in his veins. Kruse collects the ball on the right wing and crosses into the box towards Eggestein - making a run from midfield - who flicks the ball to the back post where Rashica is waiting. He controls, and beats Nübel with a dribble before slotting the ball home.

BIG SAVE PAVLENKA!
A corner is flicked down towards the back post of the Bremen goal and recycled by Schalke. It then comes to Skrzybski in space in the box and he laces a shot at goal with all the power in his right foot, but Pavlenka flies across the face of his goal and parries the ball wide once again. He's been an octopus in the home side's goal tonight.

SCHALKE STRUGGLING TO TAKE CONTROL
The away side are doing well to keep Bremen out, with blocks, interceptions and tackles flying in all over the place. But when they look to go forward themselves, the counter-attack is struggling at the moment. A change might be coming soon from Tedesco in attack.
59'
CONTINUING WHERE WE LEFT OFF
It's end-to-attack and constant attacking in Bremen. Plenty of half chances for both sides, with Rashica having a couple of shots blocked on the Schalke goal by solid defending. At the the other end, Burgstaller and Skrzybski have struggled to get into the game but Embolo has been heavily involved.
52'
KRUSE SLOTS IT HOME!
A perfect example of how well the Video-Assist is working in the Bundesliga, as a penalty is awarded and Bremen take the lead through Kruse's spot-kick.

PENALTY BREMEN!
After a check of VAR, Kruse is tripped in the box and the penalty is given.

EMBOLO HEADS AT GOAL
Oczipka's corner meets the head of Embolo unmarked in the middle of the Bremen box, but he can only direct his header straight into the arms of Pavlenka. Either side, and it may have caused a bigger problem...

FRIDAY NIGHT FUN!
A cracking first half in Bremen with both sides clearly going all out to claim all three points. Breel Embolo's well-taken finish at the near post following a courageous Weston McKennie gave Schalke the lead, but Milot Rashica's instinctive finish just a few minutes later brought the game level. Each side have several chances to add a second, but in the end we're level at the break which is fair reflection of that opening half.
45'
BARGFREDE LETS FLY
The midfielder brings down a Schalke clearance on his chest in the middle of the pitch. Bringing the ball forward, he is hardly closed down by the Royal Blues' defence and decides to have a pop at goal, and drags his strike just inches wide of the mark.
38'
HIGHLY ENTERTAINING FIRST HALF
It's been non-stop attacking football here in Bremen with both teams immediately looking forward when they're in possession. Exactly what we want to see and expect to see from teams in the Bundesliga. And of course, this goal from Bremen means that their record of scoring on each Matchday of this season continues.
31'
AND BREMEN ARE LEVEL!
Milot Rashica is the magic man to bring the game level. Kruse's cross is perfect and it drops in the middle of the box where Rashica has made his run to from the right wing, before the Kosovan slots home with his left foot into the bottom corner.
26'
BREEL BACK WITH A BANG!
It's a dream return for Breel Embolo who has given Schalke the lead in Bremen. Weston McKennie claims the assist for the goal after he rose highest to flick the ball over the Bremen defence for Embolo to race onto. He then cooly slot home at the near post past Pavlenka!
21'
PAVLENKA AT IT AGAIN!
A free-kick drifts towards the back post of the Bremen goal, and is headed down into acres of space in the box. Matija Nastasic is closest to it and sends a volley at goal along the ground, but Pavlenka dives across goal having hardly seen the ball make it's way towards him, and tipped the ball past his post.
17'
KRUSE SHOOTS WIDE
Neat build-up from Bremen, bringing the ball through midfield with a one-two combination of passes for Max Kruse on the edge of the Schalke box. He sent a shot across the face of goal, but too wide, and Nübel watched as it drifted past the post.
13'
CALIGIURI'S FREE-KICK FLYER!
A superb, curling free-kick from Daniel Caligiuri almost provides the opening goal of the game. From 25 yards, the full-back brought the ball over the wall and sent it angling towards the top left corner of the Bremen goal, but Pavlenka was equal to another Schalke effort.
12'
END-TO-END OPENING HERE
Both sides doing well to get on the ball so far, and bring it forward into the opposition box. It's the home side who are doing it more often so far, but Schalke's defence has stood firm thus far. Looking to release Embolo and Skryzbski down the wings.
7'
SCHALKE RESPOND!
A huge chance for the visitors comes immediately after with a poor moment for Augustinsson, who is running towards his own goal and loses possession to Embolo. The Swiss forward puts the ball across the box to Burgstaller, but Pavlenka closes his down superbly and, in the end, makes the perfect save.
6'
EGGESTEIN HAS THE FIRST GO!
The home side have enjoyed most of the attacking pressure in the opening minutes and it's Maximillian Eggestein who has the first shot on goal. He collects the ball on the right corner of the edge of the Schalke box, and shoots hard across goal, but drags his effort just wide.

KICK-OFF MOMENTS AWAY
Who's going to start off Matchday 25 in style? We're about to get underway in the north of Germany between Werder Bremen and Schalke.
EMBOLO MAKES HIS COMEBACK
The Swiss forward is making his first start since November for Schalke, and will be hoping to be the inspiration his side needs to get a big result for their season.
NO SARGENT FOR BREMEN
Weston McKennie is back for Schalke, but his fellow countryman will not be lining up to face him tonight with Josh Sargent not included in the Werder Bremen squad. Fin Bartels, however, has made his return to start on the bench. He has been out for 455 days!
SCHALKE
Nübel – Bruma, Stambouli, Nastasic – Caligiuri, McKennie, Bentaleb, Oczipka – Embolo, Burgstaller, Skrzybski Subs: Fährmann, Rieter, Sane, Rudy, Konoplyanka, Matondo, Kutucu
BREMEN
Pavlenka - Gebre Selassie, Veljkovic, Moisander, Augustinsson - M. Eggestein, Bargfrede, Klaassen - Rashica, Pizarro, Kruse (c) Subs: Kapino, Friedl, Bejimo, Möhwald, J. Eggestein, Bartels, Harnik
LINE-UPS COMING UP SHORTLY
We'll have full team news from tonight's game in the next 15 miniutes, so stay tuned for the official line-ups.
SARGENT VS. MCKENNIE
The USA international team-mates and friends could face-off tonight for the first time. Weston McKennie has shaken off injury to be fit, while Josh Sargent is more likely to start from the bench, but could certainly come on to make what would be his 10th Bundesliga appearance.
CAN SCHALKE CAUSE AN UPSET?
Although slightly strange to hear and say, but the Royal Blues would be causing an upset should they take all three points from Bremen tonight. The home side are unbeaten in 2019 - only Frankfurt have that same record - and beat Schalke when the sides last met earlier in the season at the Veltins Arena.
NO SAHIN FOR BREMEN
Some very early team news comes from the home side and Nuri Sahin, as the midfielder will miss out tonight suffering with stomach pains. He will be replaced in Florian Kohfeldt's squad by Felix Beijmo.
MATCHDAY 25 UNDERWAY TONIGHT!
We kick-off this weekend in style with two of the most interesting teams of the season. Werder Bremen are one of just three teams to have scored in every league match they played this season in Europe's top five leagues. They host Schalke, who are desperate to steer themselves clear of relegation, sitting only four points above the relegation play-off spot.
Welcome along to the match centre for the game Bremen vs. Schalke from matchday 25 of the 2018/19 Bundesliga season at the Weser-Stadion. Check back here for full information on the match.
