BACK UNDERWAY
Yussuf Poulsen on at the break for Matheus Cunha, who was quiet in that first half. Leipzig yet to concede a goal in the second half of games in 2019, can Gladbach be the first to break the duck?

SCRAMBLE IN THE BOX
Chances galore there as Traore's cross goes to Kramer but runs loose. The ball comes out to Hofmann from a block and it is blocked by the Leipzig defence. VAR checks it for handball, but a penalty is not given.

POULSEN NOW FLUFFS HIS LINES
Fantastic through ball from Laimer sends Poulsen in on goal. He closes on goal at an angle from the left, and goes for goal at the near post, but can only find the side-netting of Sommer's goal.

HALSTENBERG HITS THE POST
The full-back goes on a superb run through the pitch as Leipzig have a 3-on-2 chance on the Gladbach defence. He shoots at goal, going for his hat-trick, but can only find the outside of Sommer's post.
83'
HUGE CHANCES FOR GLADBACH
Hazard cuts inside from the left wing and smashes a shot at goal. Gulacsi saves well, but Kramer picked up the ball in the Leipzig box and worked an angle to dink the ball to the back post for Herrmann, but the winger couldn't get his chance on target.

LATE EQUALISER, OR LEIPZIG WIN?
The home side are controlling possession here, and territory in the game. But Leipzig are looking to make the most of any counter-attacking opportunities in these final minutes.

WERNER FLUFFS HIS LINES
Played in behind with only Sommer to beat, Timo Werner fails to restore Leipzig's two-goal lead with the Swiss shot-stopper making a simple save in the end as the shot came straight at him.

PLEA FORCES A STUNNING SAVE
Herrmann's cross into the box is perfect and finds the head of Plea in front of goal. But Gulacsi makes a superb relfex save to deny the Frenchman a brace, as he tips the ball up and away from his goal. The home side certainly on top now they have found the net.

GLADBACH COMING ALIVE
More tempo and urgency in Gladbach's play since Plea's goal, with the ball coming forward from defence far quicker in the last few minutes.

GLADBACH BACK IN IT!
And what a way to do it... Neuhaus gets a bit of space ahead of him in midfield for the first time today and makes the most of it, sending Plea in on goal with a tidy through ball. The Frenchman beats off the challenge of a defender before toe-poking the ball beyond Gulacsi with a lovely finish. The home fans roar, and we have a game on our hands with half an hour to play.
61'
WERNER DRAGS A SHOT WIDE
Turbo Timo played in behind the Gladbach defence, but at a tough angle on the right side of the Gladbach box. He gets a shot away, but it was always going to be difficult to get on target from that position, and he has to watch it roll beyond the far post.
59'
LEIPZIG CONTROLLING THIS
The away side have quietly been in control since the second half began here. The three-man defence proving very difficult for Gladbach to break down, with Hazard quiet on the left wing so far. The wind taken out of the Gladbach sails by that second Halstenberg goal.
53'
SUPERB FROM HALSTENBERG
The wing-back takes the ball inside from a throw-in on the left, just outside the Gladbach box. He exchanges a one-two with Forsberg and goes in on goal before placing the ball in the far bottom corner beyond Sommer to secure his brace and Leipzig's second of the game.

OPEN HALF GOES IN LEIPZIGS FAVOUR
A penalty is all that can separate Gladbach and Leipzig in the first half at Borussia-Park, after Halstenberg both won and converted his second penalty of the season. Both goalkeepers were tested, Sommer more so than Gulacsi, in what was an even opening 45 minutes. Still all to play for in the second half.
41'
SUPERB DEFENDING FROM KONATE
A nice through ball from Hazard to Plea and into the Leipzig box looked to have given the Frenchman a chance on goal, but Konate charges across the box to make a superb block. The 19-year-old has had an outstanding first half.
36'
GLADBACH TRYING TO GET BACK INTO IT
The home side have had promising moments in this first half, but have been nullified by Leipzig for the most part. Gulacsi has yet to be seriously tested by the home side. Since Leipzig's goal the away side have had more chances on goal than their hosts.
27'
RANGNICK'S CHANGE OF TACTIC
The away side have changed to three at the back in recent weeks and it's worked perfectly for them. With Julian Nagelsmann coming to the Red Bull Arena next season, it could be a move to help his squad prepare for the 2019/20 season months in adavance.
20'
STROBL DENIES WERNER
Ibrahima Konate strolls out of defence with assurance and plays a perfect through ball for Werner to latch onto into the box. He cuts back onto his right foot and shoots at goal, but Strobl is just ahead of the goalline and blocks the ball away.
17'
HALSTENBERG DOES THE BUSINESS
The full-back shows his class from the spot once again, sending Sommer the wrong way to give Leipzig the lead. Four penalties so far for Leipzig this season, and all of them have been scored.
15'
PENALTY LEIPZIG
We will see if VAR does anything, but Herrmann brought down Halstenberg as he looked to reach a loose ball in the box.
12'
THE HOME SIDE STARTING WELL
Zakaria fires high over the Leipzig goal, but it comes after a great start from the home side. Raffael was patient to wait for a run from Ginter into the opposition box, but it didn't come to a chance on goal. It's all been part of a dominant start.
8'
FORSBERG AGAIN!
The Sweeish international again has a go at goal, as he shoots low towards the bottom left corner of the Gladbach net. Sommer dives superbly down low to his right to tip the ball past his own post.

OPEN GAME TO START HERE
Gladbach have been able to combine well in midfield and break in space with the likes of Plea and Raffael being able to run at the Leipzig defence. Still no work for Gulacsi to do, though.

FORSBERG FIRES OVER
Lively start to this game at it is Leipzig who get the first shot of the game on goal. Forsberg firing towards the target, but just hitting the ball wide of Sommer's goal.

UNDERWAY AT BORUSSIA-PARK
The first of two evening matches today gets underway, and it should be a cracker!
Kick-off!
CAN LEIPZIG CONFIRM A EUROPEAN PLACE?
A win over fifth placed Gladbach this evening and Leipzig will have their place in at least the UEFA Europa League confirmed tonight, but it looks very likely that they will be playing in the UEFA Champions League next season. And especially if they take all three points from Borussia-Park tonight.
LEIPZIG UNCHANGED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 18/19
Ralf Rangnick leaves club captain Willi Orban on the bench once again, with Nordi Mukiele in his new central defensive role. It's the first time this season that Leipzig have gone kept their team unchanged.
LEIPZIG LINE-UP!
Gulacsi – Klostermann, Mukiele, Konate, Halstenberg – Sabitzer, Kampl (c), Laimer – Forsberg – Cunha, Werner (SUBS: Müller, Orban, Haidara, Poulsen, Bruma, Smith Rowe, Demme)
GLADBACH LINE-UP!
Sommer (c) – Ginter, Strobl, Jantschke – Herrmann, Kramer, Zakaria, Hazard – Neuhaus – Raffael, Plea (SUBS: Sippel, Beyer, Traore, Wendt, Johnson, Hofmann, Cuisance)
KEY PLAYERS MISSING ON BOTH SIDES
The Foals are without attacking playmaker Lars Stindl, who suffered a serious leg injury last week and is out for the season, while right-back Michael Lang is also sidelined with a hip complaint. For Leipzig, American midfielder Tyler Adams . who is yet to taste defeat in the Bundesliga - misses out with a groin strain, while Dayot Upamecano is unlikely to play due to a niggling knee injury.
RANGNICK: "ITS THE GAME OF ALL GAMES FOR US"
RB Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick returned the compliment to his Gladbach counterpart at his own pre-game press briefing: "Gladbach have a lot of individual quality, especially up front. They're a strong team and there's a lot at stake for them too in terms of qualifying for Europe. It's the game of all games for us. A win would all but guarantee us a place in the Champions League."
HECKING: "LEIPZIG THE MOST CONSISTENT TEAM"
Gladbach head coach Dieter Hecking was quick to praise Leipzig in his pre-match press conference on Thursday, although he also believes there is more to come from his side: "Leipzig have been the most consistent team in the league this season. They haven't had a dip in form and they're full of self-confidence. But these are the kind of games my team are itching to play. It's up to us to force Leipzig to make mistakes. They wait for the right moment to press you, so that's something we'll make sure our boys know to expect. We weren't at our best [last week] against Hannover. We can still do better in defence."
GLADBACH WINLESS AGAINST LEIPZIG
That's right, today's visitors have the clear upper hand historically in this fixture. The teams have played each other five times so far in the Bundesliga, with two draws and three wins for Leipzig. Even more worryingly for Gladbach is that they have lost both of their previous home games against RBL, losing 1-0 last season and 2-1 the year before.
HAPPY TRAVELLERS
Gladbach's home form stands in stark contrast to Leipzig's record on the road this season. Ralf Rangnick's charges have the second-best points haul away from home in 2018/19 with eight wins, two draws and four defeats. Furthermore, they've won ALL SIX away games in 2019, scoring 16 and conceding just three.
NO PLACE LIKE HOME?
Gladbach were untouchable at the Borussia-Park in the first half of the season, winning all eight of their Bundesliga outings there. However, they have struggled for form on home turf in 2019, winning just once in six outings, losing three and drawing their last two.
FIFTH AGAINST THIRD
This game promises to be an absolute humdinger. Not only is it a meeting between two attack-minded sides - meaning goals are virtually guaranteed - there is plenty at stake too. Gladbach are currently in fifth on 51 points, just one behind Frankfurt in fourth, and seven adrift of Leipzig in third. Victory for the visitors would therefore surely guarantee them Champions League football next term, while Gladbach would boost their own hopes of a top-four finish with a win here.
