FORTUNA FIGHTING FOR EVERYTHING

The home side really are battling for every single ball here and look a true danger on the counter-attack with Hennings staying right on the last Cologne defender at all times. We could definitely see more goals before the end of this game.

COLOGNE STILL ON TOP

The Billy Goats will be looking for a goal sooner rather than later to get this game alive again with time ticking on. They have been the better side in this second half but the Fortuna counter-attack has worked against them once already, so they will have to remain wary of it happening again.

A GOAL FROM NOTHING!

A goal from a Cologne corner as the home side clear with a huge boot from Ayhan for Thommy to chase onto. He battles with Schindler and cuts past him in the box, before slotting the ball superbly into the top corner past Horn with a fantastic finish.

What a chance for Louis Schaub as he meets a cross to the back post with a leaping header, but it glides just past Steffen's post. The away side creating far the better chances.

HENNINGS HAS FORTUNA AHEAD

The Fortuna top scorer has done the business so far with his one chance from the spot and the home side are ahead. Cologne have enjoyed most of the possession but have been unable to do much with it so far, Terodde coming closest with a header wide of the mark. Expect changes to come for them in attack in the second half.

COLOGNE FRUSTRATIONS

A few decisions have gone against the away side here which the players aren't happy about. They will have to keep their composure here after collecting two yellow cards in the space of a minute for two key players.
25'

HENNINGS HITS THE POST

Thommy's free-kick is flicked up in the air towards the back post where Ayhan is positioned. He heads it back down into the centre of the box where Hennings meets it and heads at goal himself, only to find the outside of the Cologne post. Within inches of a goal there!

HOME SIDE SHOWING CONFIDENCE

Cheeky flicks from Fink and Thommy have Fortuna flowing well in attack, until the reach the Cologne box, at least. Neither side has been able to mount a serious attack around the opposition box to this point.
18'

DREXLER WORKING HIS WAY

Lovely interplay between Drexler and Skhiri into the Fortuna box down the right ends with a dinked cross into the box towards Terodde. The Fortuna defence is able to block it before reaching the Cologne striker, though, and clear this time.
14'

THOMMY SEES HORN OFF HIS LINE

The winger goes for goal from all of 40 yards out on the left wing as he looks up and spots Timo Horn off his line, but the Cologne No.1 is able to recover.

TERODDE WITH A HEADER!

Simple but effective there from Cologne as Hector is afforded far too much space down the left flank. He looks up and crosses to the middle of the box where Terodde is waiting, but the Cologne No.9 can't keep his header on target this time.

ALL SQUARE TO START

Both sides getting on the ball well, getting into the game and looking to set their gameplans in motion, but it's been slow going in the early stages here. Just a rash shot wide from Jean Zimmer is our only chance on goal of note.

CHOREO TIME

The Fortuna fans have revealed a huge choreography in the home stand ahead of this huge game for the club and the city. The atmosphere is building massively here!

MORALES STARTS

Alfredo Morales will be a key man in the centre of the Fortuna midfield today, looking to help bring support to Rouwen Hennings in attack.

SCHAUB SUPPORTING TERODDE

Achim Beierlorzer is sticking to his plan of playing just one central striker, but it looks as if Louis Schaub will be his closest partner in crime playing almost as a second-striker this afternoon. Anthony Modeste and Jhon Cordoba are both ready and waiting on the bench should they need to be called upon.

AN EARLY RELEGATION SIX-POINTER

We may only be on the 10th round of fixtures in the 2019/20 season but this game brings together two teams fighting for every point at the bottom end of the table. Sitting in 15th and 16th respectively, Fortuna and Cologne are currently level on seven points coming into this derby game. Whoever comes out on top will not only have local bragging rights, but three vital points.
