FRANKFURT STRUGGLING

Chances are not coming easy for Frankfurt despite their man advantage. Things just have not clicked in attack today, and Schalke have taken one of their chances to lead the game.
90'

ADDED TIME

We'll have seven minutes of added time here at the Veltins-Arena.
84'

BURGSTALLER HITS THE POST!

Defending is definitely the first point of call right now, but Guido Burgstaller almost found the net for Schalke's second goal. Picking up possession 25 yards from goal he decided to take a shot and found the outside of Rönnow's post with the Frankfurt goalkeeper powerless to stop his strike.

SOW SLICES WIDE

The ball is bouncing between Schalke and Frankfurt players in the home side's box and eventually falls to Sow on the edge of the box. He fires a volley at goal but doesn't get the contact on it that he'd like.
77'

TIME RUNNING OUT...

Two strikers are now on the pitch, as well as the attacking power of Kostic, Kamada and more. Frankfurt looking to make the most of their man advantage to get back into this game before the end.
70'

GACINOVIC HAS TO BE REPLACED

The midfielder has suffered a heavy blow to his head and has been replaced by Goncalo Paciencia as a precaution.
69'

SCHUBERT IN GOAL

The Schalke back-up has come on for Amine Harit and takes his place in between the Schalke posts. The 21-year-old Freiburg native is making his Bundesliga debut.
67'

NÜBEL SENT OFF!

The Schalke goalkeeper comes well out of his goal to try and beat Gacinovic to a long ball and he clatters the Frankfurt midfielder and is shown a straight red card.
59'

RAMAN'S RUN CONTINUES

The Schalke forward has now scored in each of his last four Bundesliga appearances for Schalke. With finishes like the one he produced just minutes ago, he'll be cementing his place as Schalke's go-to man in attack.
53'

RAMAN FINDS THE NET!

Mascarell does superbly in the middle of midfield and Schalke can break with Harit in a 3-on-1. He plays the ball to his left and Raman and the Belgian forward produces a composed finish to slot the ball past Rönnow along the ground.
53'

Benito Raman

GOAL!

NOW CALIGIURI DOES THE SAME

At the other end Daniel Caligiuri does the same, picking up possession in the middle of the pitch and going for goal from range. This one is tipped over his own crossbar by Rönnow with a decent save.
48'

KOSTIC HAS A GO!

Great stuff from Torro and Gacinovic who both tackle Serdar and win the ball in the Schalke half. Kostic is immediately given the ball in the middle of the pitch and decides to go for goal himself with a rasping shot, which he drags just wide of goal with Nübel sprawling to get across his line.

SECOND HALF UNDERWAY

Both sides looking to get this game going even further in this second half.

TWO CHANCES FOR GACINOVIC

Just before half-time the Serbian midfielder first has an acrobatic go at goal with a volley, but it bounces just wide of the mark. Seconds later Chandler whips in a cross from the right and he times his run perfectly to meet it with a header, but it's saved well by Nübel to his right. A couple of bright moments there to end the half for the visitors.
45'

ADDED TIME

We'll have three minutes of added time here in the first half.
43'

BIG CHANCE FOR RAMAN

Fantastic football from Schalke as Harit finds Matondo and his pass goes through for Raman to race onto. He is first to the ball but Rönnow is out quickly and is able to block before he can decide what to do with the chance.
40'

CHANCES AT EITHER END

Toure is on the end of Kostic's set-piece but can't put his header past Nübel from the edge of the six-yard box. Schalke go up the other end and it's Kabak who has brought the ball forward. He races into the Frankfurt penalty area but drags his shot wide of the target.
37'

ALL SCHALKE STILL

The home side have enjoyed 65 per cent of possession so far but have not been able to do as much with it as they'd have liked. Just five attempts on goal so far, the latest of which coming from a Raman header after a cross from Miranda. Simply saved by Rönnow.
28'

SERDAR FORCES A SAVE

Lovely interplay between Harit and Serdar as the Morrocan's backheel sends the German midfielder forward. He opens his body to curl a right-footed shot at goal and forces a good save from Rönnow in the Frankfurt goal. The first real chance we've had so far.
26'

KABAK COLLIDES WITH NÜBEL

The Schalke goalkeeper comes out to grab a cross low to the ground but Kabak is running back at the same time and can't stop before running into the Schalke captain, clipping his head with his knee. Schalke seem to be going for as many defensive injuries as possible, but it looks like Nübel can continue.
19'

FRUSTRATING START

Neither side will be totally happy with their start. Frankfurt have only had one effort on goal through Bas Dost, but his header was out of control and simple for Nübel. The same for Schalke with Caligiuri having a shot blocked. Both defences have been strong thus far.
13'

MCKENNIE STRETCHERED OFF

The USMNT star has to come off on a stretcher here after his nasty shoulder injury. We'll provide any update we get on his well-being as it comes. To replace him comes on Juan Miranda to make his Schalke debut, moving Bastian Oczipka into the centre of defence alongside Ozan Kabak.
10'

MCKENNIE DOWN

A big fall under a heavy challenge for McKennie as he leaps high to challenge Bas Dost in the air but comes down hard after taking a touch in the air. He's going to have to be replaced here.
8'

SOLID START FROM SCHALKE

The home side have dominated possession in these early stages and now allowed Frankfurt anywhere near their own half, let alone their box or goal. Half chances came for Raman and Matondo, but nothing to threaten Rönnow.

AND AWAY WE GO

The ball is rolling at the Veltins-Arena for our final game of the weekend.
Kick-off!

READY TO ROCK N' ROLL!

The Veltins-Arena is packed to the rafters for the final game of the weekend and with Jonjoe Kenny, Rabbi Matondo and Weston McKennie all starting, there is plenty of British and international interest.

HÜTTER WARY

Frankfurt head coach Adi Hütter has been impressed by what he's seen from the Royal Blues this season and has urged his side to be both cautious and bold: "Schalke have a different playing style than they had last season. They play with a lot of intensity and a lot of sprints, and they've also had a bit of luck on their side. For us it'll be important to be compact, but also to show purpose getting forward."

LARGE VISITING CONTINGENT

Schalke's Veltins Arena can be an intimidating place for away teams, with a capacity of 62,271 fans, while a whopping 98.1 per cent of seats have been sold at the stadium this season. Still, Frankfurt's supporters will be looking to make their presence felt today as 4,200 Eintracht fans are expected in Gelsenkirchen.

EVEN STEVENS

These teams have played each other 90 times in the Bundesliga over the years, with both winning 33 matches (24 draws). Frankfurt have had the upper hand of late though, winning three of the last five, including the last two.

TRIED AND TESTED SIDE FOR SCHALKE

Schalke boss David Wagner, by contrast, has stuck largely with the same 11 players that slipped to a 2-1 reverse to Leverkusen last week. The only change is Rabbi Matondo coming into the side in place of Guido Burgstaller.

FIVE CHANGES FOR FRANKFURT

Dost's inclusion is one of five differences to the Eagles' side that drew 2-2 with Hertha Berlin last time out. Veteran defender Makoto Hasebe is given a rest - presumably with the midweek fixtures in mind - so Evan Ndicka replaces him in defence. In midfield, Timothy Chandler makes just his second Bundesliga start of the campaign in place of Danny Da Costa, while Lucas Torro plays alongside Sebastian Rode in the centre, deputising for Gelson Fernandes. Mijat Gacinovic will operate in the creative playmaker role just behind Dost, with Daichi Kamada on the bench.

DOST RETURNS!

We want some of whatever Bas Dost's been having! Frankfurt confirmed the big Dutch striker would be out of action until 2020 due to a groin complaint, but he has made a surprising recovery and starts here! It gives head coach Adi Hütter a chance to rest fellow forwards Andre Silva and Goncalo Paciencia.

THE STAKES

Hosts Schalke are currently fifth in the standings, but could move above Bayern Munich into fourth with a win here. They're in decent form too, having won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five league outings, and will be eager to return to winning ways after a 2-1 defeat to Leverkusen last time out. Frankfurt, for their part, appear to be struggling with the strain of a Europa League campaign and are down in 12th. The Eagles are yet to win after competing in Europe this season.
