COLOGNE HOLD ON
Cologne inflict a fourth successive defeat on Paderborn. The Billy Goats executed their first-half gameplan to perfection, but were on the back foot for much of the second period. Paderborn showed real spirit to reduce the arrears, but it wasn't enough. They stay bottom, five points adrift of the relegation play-off spot. Cologne climb to 10th.

ALL PADERBORN
The Benteler-Arena is bouncing as Sabiri wins a corner. In it comes with pace, but Cologne see it clear before the whistle sounds for a foul against a Paderborn player.
87'
OFF THE BAR FROM SABIRI!
Sabiri whips a dipping free-kick over the Cologne wall. It's heading in under the crossbar and moving all over the place, but Horn gets a vital touch to push it onto the crossbar. That's some save!
85'
COLOGNE CHANGES
Uth's gone off after an effective showing up top. He got both assists in the first half. Modeste also makes way after missing an open goal not long ago. Drexler and Terodde are on for the fine five minutes or so.

PRÖGER-SRBENY AGAIN
Pröger clips a ball into Srbeny, who puts a difficult header wide. Not sure why Paderborn didn't play like this in the first half - they're moving all over the place, and finding space in the channels.

MODESTE WIDE!
Cologne should be three up! Rexhbecaj sends Modeste in on goal - he rounds the advancing Zingerle, but puts his left-footed effort wide of the open net. He was going full tilt and it wasn't the easiest angle - but he really should have buried that!
77'
SCHONLAU DENIED!
Yikes! Cologne let Paderborn in again, but Schonlau's goal-bound shot from inside the area is blocked by Leistner. That would have been 2-2, no doubt!
74'
GAME ON!
Paderborn are right back in this! Srbeny lays the ball off to Pröger in midfield, and continues his run. Mere doesn't deal with the ball into the middle, and Srbeny makes no mistake with his header. Can they go on and grab another?

NO BITE
Paderborn don't look too bad in the build-up, but they're really struggling for ideas in the final third. It's no great surprise they're the league's third-lowest scorers this season with 29...
67'
PRÖGER ON THE PROWL
Kai Pröger drives into the Cologne box, but Leistner is across quickly and gets a foot in to put the ball behind for a corner. Nothing comes of the flag-kick, though.
60'
OVER FROM VASILIADIS
Big chance for Paderborn. Holtmann finds Collins on the overlap - his cross is cleared only as far as Vasiliadis, who balloons over from the edge of the D. Had to at least hit the target from there!
56'
COLOGNE ON TOP
Jakobs bombs forward and whips a low ball right across the face of goal. It's begging for just the slightest of touches, but nobody's home. The Billy Goats come again with Uth, who has the right idea with his cute ball between the Paderborn right-back and right-sided central defender, but Kainz doesn't read it and it goes into touch.
47'
SECOND HALF
Sabiri's on for Paderborn in place of Michel. The sub's had a hand in two of eight Paderborn goals in 2020. They need a spark from somewhere...

COLOGNE IN CONTROL
The Billy Goats are firmly in control thanks to goals from Mere and Hector. They've been patient and clinical. It doesn't look good for bottom side Paderborn...

ROW Z
Pröger gets in behind the Cologne defence and crosses for Srbeny, who completely miscues his volley. 'Six runs!' seems appropriate, though there's an offside flag for something in the build-up.
43'
ANTWI-ADJEJ CROCKED
The Paderborn winger pulls up with what looks like a hamstring injury. No messing around from Baumgart - Holtmann is straight on.

CAPTAIN FANTASTIC!
Superb Cologne goal. Uth drives forward and releases the ball for Hector, who whips it first time beyond Zingerle and into the top scorer from 18 yards. Paderborn gave him way too much space, but that is some strike. Four for the season for the Cologne skipper now - a career-best return.
35'
FIRST BOOKING
Srbeny catches Skhiri a touch late, and can have no complaints. Bit of a impulse reaction after Michel had been felled seconds before. The ensuing free-kick comes to nothing.
28'
HAIL MERE!
Paderborn coach Steffen Baumgart will not be happy with this. The home side's back four go to sleep as Kainz whips in a corner. Uth is free to head it on, and Mere reacts fastest to prod home at the far post. Eleven goals from corners for Cologne this season. Dead-ball delight.
23'
WAYWARD FROM SRBENY
Quick thinking from Collins as he launches a long throw into the Cologne box. Srbeny's first to it, but gets carries away and sends a rising strike high and wide of the near post on his left foot. Difficult to execute on the run - he had Michel unmarked in the middle, too.
15'
PADERBORN PROBING
High-energy football from both sides so far. Paderborn are enjoying the better of it right now as Kai Pröger wins a corner. Collins has a go when the ball breaks clear, but Cologne get bodies in the way.
10'
PRÖGER CHANCE
Collins does really well to win back possession around halfway. Antwi-Adjei takes it on, driving inside and squaring for Pröger. He's urged to shoot by the home fans, but drags his effort from outside the box wide.
5'
OVER FROM HECTOR
Cologne captain Jonas Hector has a go from range, but it's off target. Positive start from both sides.
Kick-off!
AS IT STANDS
We mentioned earlier that Paderborn are somewhat beginning to be cut adrift at the minute and they go into this one knowing that a losss could leave them eight points off the relegation playoff by the end of the weekend but a win could potentially reduce the gap to just two points. As for Cologne, they're 11th and - with a win - could end Matchday 24 just a point off the top half.
EVEN RECORD
While Cologne may be unbeaten in their three previous Bundesliga meetings with Paderborn (W1, D2), their 3-0 victory in Matchday 8's reverse fixture ended a six-game winless run in all competitions (D3, L3) against their hosts tonight.
NO CORDOBA, NO PARTY?
As for the visitors, they have been flying recently and have seven (yes, SEVEN!) wins from their last nine in the league. Cordoba's goals have been at the heart of that run but the Colombian misses out through suspension in Paderborn. Modeste leads the line, with Kainz, Uth and Jakobs in support. At the back, Mere comes in for the injured Bornauw.
SRBENY TO THE RESCUE?
With Paderborn five points adrift from the relegation play-off place, Baumgart's men are in need of some inspiraton. And in winner signing Srbeny they may just have that. He has three goals in seven matches since arriving in January and leads the line alongside Michel tonight.
