CORDOVA PUTS ICING ON THE CAKE
Another counter for Augsburg and a mistake from Schalke. Sane passes to Mercan in defence and his touch is heavy with Cordova lurking. He snatches the ball away and races at goal before taking it around Schubert and slotting home Augsburg's third.
84'
FRESH LEGS
Reece Oxford and Sergio Cordova come on for the final minutes to bring some vital fresh legs into the Augsburg team looking to defend their two-goal lead until the end.

SCHALKE STRUGGLES
The home side have now conceded seven goals since they last scored in the Bundesliga. Today, 11 attempts off target and only two forcing saves from Luthe. Raman is on to try and change that in these final 10 minutes or so.
78'
THAT ONE MEANS A LOT
Chances have been few and far between this season for Sarenren Bazee after his summer move to Augsburg from Hannover. In this, just his fourth appearance in the Bundesliga for Augsburg, the 23-year-old scores his first-ever Bundesliga goal. Not a bad way to do it...
76'
SCHALKE PUNISHED AGAIN!
A fantastic finish at the end of a rapid counter. Augsburg may well have sealed the win here after making the most of a Schalke mistake. A loose pass hands the ball to Framberger, who sends a long ball forward towards Niederlechner. The ball falls to Sarenren Bazee who dribbles past Kenny with a ball roll before curling a stunning strike into the far top corner.

MERCAN ON
The 19-year-old Schalke youth product comes on for McKennie. He's an attacking midfielder, so Wagner going for an attacking push with time running out for the home side to find a goal here.
72'
SO CLOSE FROM GREGORITSCH
Schalke have still yet to score a goal from a set-piece in the Bundesliga this season and almost get one here. Gregoritsch rises highest from a corner, but glances his header wide of the mark.

MAX WITH A FREE-KICK...
After Löwen scored on earlier, Max has a go here. He fires one across goal towards the right top corner of Schubert's net, but the Schalke shot-stopper has a good starting position to be able to push it away.
66'
NO SHOOTING
Schalke's big issue today has been a lack of chances being taken at goal. Centre-back Salif Sane has taken the most shots at goal of any Schalke player with two, a worrying fact for Wagner's side.
62'
RICHTER FORCES A SAVE
Another loose ball from Schalke is stolen by Augsburg, with Richter pushing it forward. He cuts inside onto his left foot from the right flank and shoots at goal, but it is straight at Schubert.
60'
30 MINUTES TO GO...
Schalke still struggling to make the most of their possession here at home. Matondo and Gregoritsch not getting in behind the Augsburg defence, with mistakes stopping the Royal Blues in their tracks. Augsburg will be happy to work on the counter-attack here.

VARGAS ALSO OFF WITH A KNOCK
The Swiss winger has to come off early here after taking a knock a few minutes ago.

SERDAR OFF
Ahmed Kutucu comes on to replace the injured Schalke midfield. His 18th appearance of the season, all of which have been as a substitute.

SERDAR DOWN
This could be a big blow for the home side. Suat Serdar is currently off the pitch with what looks like a shin injury to his left leg.
51'
NIEDERLECHNER FORCES A SAVE
Augsburg's top scorer has a go at goal from the edge of the box but can only sting the palms of Schubert from his left-footed shot. He had support around him as well in good positions, a chance wasted there.

SECOND HALF BEGINS
The ball is rolling again at the Veltins-Arena...

Half-time
41'
SOMETHING BEFORE THE BREAK?
Five attempts on target so far in this first half for Schalke and just one that has forced a save from Luthe in the Augsburg goal. Can Schalke make him work more before the half-time whistle blows?
33'
PRESSING DEMMANDS
Superb work from the away side here with Herrlich screaming out orders from the touchline. His side forcing Schalke to work very hard to get through them with possession. High-pressing has been the order of the day and so far, despite allowing the home side over 75 per cent of possession, it is working.
29'
GREAT EFFORT FROM MATONDO
The Welshman uses his lightning-quick pace to race away from his marker down the left wing and all the way into the Augsburg box. He goes for goal from close range with Luthe right in front of him, and the Augsburg goalkeeper makes a decent save to deny him with his left leg.
26'
SERDAR HAS A GO
The Germany international takes a curling shot at goal from range with Schalke's first real go at goal so far today. It drifts high over Luthe's goal though.
25'
SCHALKE IN CONTROL, BUT NOT ON TOP
The home side are still well in control of the possession here and keeping it well in defence and through middle. They just can't work the right chances on goal when getting around the Augsburg box.
19'
REASON FOR SCHALKE TO HOPE
In the reverse fixture between these two sides - one of the best games of the season so far - Schalke trailed twice away at Augsburg, but produced a fantastic comeback to win the game 3-2 with Amine Harit inspiring the Royal Blues. Who can inspire them today with Harit out?
15'
FREE-KICK KINGS
Löwen's direct free-kick to open the scoring here is Augsburg's 4th this season - a league-best mark and new club record for Augsburg. The first three were scored via the wand of a left foot that Philipp Max possesses.
12'
WORKING HARD
The home side have dominated the early possession here at home with over 70 per cent, but have lost the ball when pushing it forward in these early stages, allowing Augsburg to counter. Getting Matondo and Gregortisch on the ball has been the hard part for Wagner's side.
6'
A STUNNING FREE-KICK!
An incredible start for Augsburg here as they take the lead through an outstanding free-kick from Eduard Löwen. Right in the middle of the pitch, almost 30 yards from goal, and he curls a powerful strike over the wall and into the top corner to the right of Markus Schubert. A fantastic goal.

FAST START
It's been an end-to-end, full-throttle start here with both sides pressing high and hard up the pitch.

HERE WE GO!
The ball is rolling in Gelsenkirchen as we get things underway between Schalke and Augsburg.
Kick-off!
MOMENTS AWAY
Both sides are making their way out onto the pitch here in the Veltins-Arena and we're just about ready to get the first game of the day underway, with two more to follow with Mainz vs. RB Leipzig and Cologne vs. Fortuna Düsseldorf.
NIEDERLECHNER TO FIND THE NET?
Augsburg's six-goal leading marksman Florian Niederlechner is without a goal in his last six games, but has more top-flight goals against Schalke (four) than against any Bundesliga club. He leads the line once again for Augsburg today looking to get back among the goals.
THE GREGORITSCH DERBY
Augsburg loanee Michael Gregoritsch registered his only goal and assist of the season on his Schalke debut in the Matchday 18 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Austria international scored two and assisted one in three meetings with his parent club, whilst playing for Hamburg. Will he be able to get back on the scoresheet against Augsburg today?
WILL SOMEONE GET A WIN?
Today's game is the meeting of the Bundesliga's current two longest winless runs. Schalke remain on the longest run without victory of any Bundesliga team (eight matches), while Augsburg are without a win in six.
THREE CHANGES FOR SCHALKE
After their disappointing Revierderby defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund last weekend, David Wagner has been forced to make a few moves with his team. Jean-Clair Todibo and Amine Harit both picked up injuries in that loss and have been replaced by Rabbi Matondo and Alessandro Schöpf, with a change in formation to a four-man defence included in that. While Michael Gregoritsch leads in the line ahead of Benito Raman.
TWO CHANGES FOR AUGSBURG
Felix Uduokhai and Carlos Gruezo come in to start for Heiko Herrlich's side today. This will be 25-year-old Gruezo's second start in the Bundesliga since Matchday 2 in his debut season for Augsburg after he suffered an ankle injury just after the start of the season. Augsburg will be looking to Florian Niederlechner, Marco Richter and Ruben Vargas for inspiration in attack.
