NKUNKU HITS THE POST

What a strike at goal that was from Nkunku, but he's unlucky to see it bounce back out off the woodwork.

ADDED TIME

We're into three minutes of added time here with Leipzig in control.
89'

HAIDARA THIS TIME

Leipzig piling on the pressure here late on. Haidara curls a shot at goal from the edge of the box, but Baumann is once again ready to make a solid save.
86'

LOOKMAN NOW!

Big chance for the Englishman on from the bench as he too is found by Werner in space, on the overlap down the left of the Hoffenheim box. He goes to put the ball past Baumann from close-range, but the chance is a tough one and Baumann saves.
85'

CLASSY NKUNKU

Werner finds the Frenchman in the Hoffenheim box, and he drags the ball beautifully past a defender to make space for a shot on his left foot. It's straight at Baumann, though, and the ball is cleared.
81'

PUSHING FORWARD

Hoffenheim bring on another centre-back in place of a midfielder, with Akpoguma on for the injured Geiger. It pushes Grillitsch into midfield.
78'

WELCOME BACK, KONATE!

A big moment for Leipzig and Ibrahima Konate who comes on for his first appearance since Matchday 5 in September. Just his sixth appearance of the season due to injury, but great to see the talented French centre-back back fit again.
75'

NKUNKU BOOKED

The Frenchman is cautioned for a foul on Kaderabek in midfield.
75'

15 TO PLAY...

Hoffenheim have had 19 attempts on goal to Leipzig's seven, and eight corners to the away side's none so far. But still no goal for the home side. Can they get one and perhaps inspire a late comeback?
70'

MORE MISSED CHANCES

Hoffenheim so close to scoring again as Bruun Larsen flicks the ball into the box from a short corner and it's flicked on again by Posch up from the back, but bounces wide across goal.
68'

BOTH SIDES MAKING MOVES

Adams and Lookman are on for Leipzig while Bruun Larsen is on for Hoffenheim, replacing Baumgartner.
68'

Substitution

66'

ALMOST FOR OLMO

It could have been a hat-trick for Olmo as he opens his body to pass the ball towards goal, but his effort drifts just beyond the far post of Baumann's goal from 10 yards out. A great chance for a third for the Spaniard.
65'

SIX ON TARGET

Skov switches to the right flank and immediately gets a chance on goal, cutting onto his favoured left and firing at goal. It's Hoffenheim's sixth shot on target tonight but once again finds Gulacsi.
64'

KEEPING HOPE

Leipzig are trying to keep the ball and calm the game down with time ticking on, but Hoffenheim's pressing isn't making it easy. The home side are also getting forward really well and continue to get chances on goal. They just need one to go in to perhaps spark more...
62'

CHANGE FOR EITHER SIDE

Ihlas Bebou comes on for Dabbur to change the Hoffenheim attack, while Christopher Nkunku is on for Laimer to bring fresh legs into the away side's midfield.
60'

MUKIELE HEADS WIDE

Great chance for the Frenchman as he makes a perfectly-timed run towards the back post of the Hoffenheim box to meet Angelino's cross. He rises above Bicakcic, but can't get his header on target.
58'

A GRULING BATTLE

We've already seen 25 fouls committed so far in this game. 13 of those made by Hoffenheim and 12 by Leipzig...
54'

GOO... NO!

Leipzig have the ball in the net for a third time, but the offside flag is up. Werner was just behind the Hoffenheim defence when played in on goal before he passed across goal to Angelino.
52'

RUDY FORCES A SAVE

More lovely build-up play from the home side and Skov is proving key here, getting into space on the left and producing great crosses. He finds Rudy with a low one, but the midfielder can't get power behind his effort as he opens up his body for a shot.
50'

HOFFENHEIM ON TOP

The home side have picked up where they left off in the first half here. Just the final touch or pass is letting them down in the final third.
47'

LIVELY START

The home side moving the ball well and it's the subs who combine, Kramaric's flick sending Skov down the line. His cross is a good one into a teasing position, but no Hoffenheim forward is in the right spot. The home side pressing hard and fast here early on.
46'

BACK UNDERWAY

Hoffenheim are not messing around with two changes at the break, bringing on Kramaric and Skov as they go in search of a second half comeback.
Kick-off!

44'

WERNER FLUFFS HIS LINES

Well, well, well... that's something we don't see often. Laimer plays Werner clean through on goal with only Baumann to beat, but he fires a finessed shot over the crossbar. He'd expect to score those.
42'

BICAKCIC FIRES WIDE

The chances just keep on coming for the home side as Kaderabek finds space on the right after good play through the middle. His cross is met by Bicakcic in space 10 yards from goal, but his half-volley floats over the crossbar. Hoffenheim will be pulling their hair out now - 11 attempts on goal, but no goals...
39'

GULACSI FORCED INTO ACTION

The Leipzig 'keeper makes his first saves of the game and they're big ones. Geiger's low cross into the box is batted out by the Leipzig No.1 but falls straight to Baumgartner 10 yards from goal. He slides an effort goalwards, but Gulacsi is on hand to deny him again.
37'

NO LUCK SO FAR

Dabbur's header which bounced back out off the post is the 12th time they have hit the woodwork this season. Only Bayern (18) have done it more.
33'

YELLOW FOR ZUBER

The second Hoffenheim played to be booked in this first half. This, after a foul on Mukiele in midfield.
29'

HOFFENHEIM CONTINUE TO PUSH

Another chance goes wide for the home side, this one a header from Dabbur, and it's already their ninth attempt of the game - all of which have failed to force a save from Peter Gulacsi in the Leipzig goal. You could argue that the home side have been the better side here, but they have not been clinical in front of goal.
27'

OFF THE POST!

That's the closest Hoffenheim have come as Dabbur heads Baumgartner's corner at goal and it bounces back out of the far post.
26'

KLOSTERMANN BOOKED

The Leipzig defender brings down Dabbur as Hoffenheim looked to break.
25'

TAKEN A BREATH YET?

With 25 minutes played the game has begun to become more of a midfield battle. Both sides intercepting passes in midfield and looking to break forward. Leipzig doing far more going forward so far, but Hoffenheim are still causing problems.
20'

LEIPZIG IN AGAIN

Mukiele fires a pass to Laimer on the edge of Hoffenheim's six-yard box and he can't control it, with a challenge from Grillitsch not helping his cause. The ball bobbles towards Schick but he's in an offside decision and has to watch it go out of play.
19'

BLOCKBUSTER BEGINNING

We're less than 20 minutes into this game and have already seen eight attempts on goal across the two sides. All five of Hoffenheim's attempts have been off target so far, while all three of Leipzig's have been on target - with two of them finding the back of the net.
17'

CHANCE FOR DABBUR

The home side go straight up the other end and it's almost a goal back through Dabbur. He's found with a tidy pass into the box by Baumgartner down the right side, but Dabbur's shot at the near post is blocked behind.
16'

SCHICK GOES CLOSE

Almost three for Leipzig as Schick rises highest at the back post to head a cross towards goal, but he can't get the power behind his effort that he'd like and Baumann gathers.
15'

OLMO-ST OVER ALREADY

What a start to this game and what a start for Leipzig and Dani Olmo. The Spain international has his first Bundesliga brace, and his third goal in his last three games for the club. Playing as the No.10 behind Werner and Schick, Olmo has made the most of finding space in front of the Hoffenheim defence and used it to devastating effect. He's scored with Leipzig's first two attempts of the game.
11'

OLMO AGAIN!

Incredible start here in Sinsheim. Leipzig push forward again through the middle and a lobbed pass to the right side of the Hoffenheim box is met by Sabitzer, who heads back down to Olmo around eight yards out. He takes no touch and finishes superbly again at the near post to add to Leipzig's joy early on here.

AND LEIPZIG ARE AHEAD!

Just moments after seeing a penalty against them overturned, Leipzig take the lead. Fantastic team move up the pitch and Mukiele is the one to find Olmo with a perfect pass into the box which misses Grillitsch's challenge. Olmo skips past one, two defenders and pokes the ball past Baumann with a lovely finish at the near post.

WE'RE UNDERWAY

The ball is rolling here in Sinsheim as Hoffenheim get things underway.
Kick-off!

HOW WILL HOFFENHEIM LOOK?

With five central - whether defensive or attacking - midfielders on the pitch, it will be interesting to see how Hoffenheim set up with their squad this evening. We'll be sure to update you on how it looks when the game does get underway.

WHAT'S AT STAKE?

Tonight's game - like every match from now until the end of the season - is vital for both sides. Hoffenheim sit just two points behind Wolfsburg and a win tonight would take them above the Wolves and into sixth spot. Meanwhile, for Leipzig, it's all about the race for second with Nagelsmann's side currently four points behind Borussia Dortmund who occupy that spot behind Bayern Munich. To keep themselves in with a realistic chance of claiming second place come the end of the season, Leipzig need all three points tonight.

ALWAYS TURBO TIMO

Werner is the only Leipzig player to have appearances in all of their 42 competitive games this season. Leipzig's No.11 is enjoying his best-ever season in front of goal, with 25 scored in 30 games. He has scored seven against Hoffenheim, including two in the reverse fixture.

EXPECT GOALS - FROM ALL AREAS!

This is one of the highest-scoring fixtures in Bundesliga history. Eight competitive games between these sides have resulted in 29 goals - nearly four per match. Hoffenheim's 42 goals have been scored by 13 different players. Kramaric (starting on the bench) leads the way with seven, one more than Baumgartner, while Leipzig are the third-highest scorers this season with 75 goals so far.

THE RETURN OF NAGELSMANN

For the first time in his coaching career, Julian Nagelsmann will be in the away dugout at the PreZero Arena. Nagelsmann left Hoffenheim for the Red Bull Arena last June having won 44 percent of his games with the Sinsheimers - a club record, and took the club into the Champions League for the first time. Now he returns with ambitions of securing his side's place in Europe for next season against his former employers.

HOFFENHEIM TEAM NEWS

It's also a trio of changes for Hoffenheim who are without a designated head coach this evening, instead using a coaching team made up of youth coaches at the club. Robert Skov (bench), Havard Nordtveit (bench) and Benjamin Hübner (suspended) drop out with Pavel Kaderabek, Dennis Geiger and Florian Grillitsch all coming into the side which drew 2-2 at Fortuna Düsseldorf last weekend.

LEIPZIG TEAM NEWS

Three changes for Julian Nagelsmann as he and his Leipzig side look to bounce back from a 1-1 draw at home to Paderborn last time out. Out go Tyler Adams (bench), Christopher Nkunku (bench) and Dayot Upamecano (suspended) and in come Marcel Halstenberg, Konrad Laimer and Marcel Sabitzer.
